Okay fine but that still doesn't help that you have to stick your finger in the darn thing to read it.

And also, you have to make sure you stick your finger exactly through the very center, because if you're off, the time's gonna be off.

And since the minute hand and hour hand are both shadows cast by the same finger, they're exactly the same width and length which is great for readability.
You seem pretty angry over a clock no one is going to buy. Except maybe when it's made into a NFT.

It isn't for sale I don't think. They've been showing it around since at least 2015.

There are so many things I'm angry at right now but most of them are beyond the reach of my pitiful plebian wrath so unfortunately this magnificently impractical clock gets the short stick instead.

Oh oh, this gives me a good idea for a scam, I mean, investment opportunities.

Mint NFTs for every date, hour, seconds. I mean how much would you pay to "own" the second you got married, or graduated college, or were born!

Its like, totally EZ money!

More than 750 Tesla owners have complained to U.S. safety regulators that cars operating on the automaker’s partially automated driving systems have suddenly stopped on roadways for no apparent reason.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration revealed the number in a detailed information request letter to Tesla that was posted Friday on the agency’s website.
The 14-page letter dated May 4 asks the automaker for all consumer and field reports it has received about false braking, as well as reports of crashes, injuries, deaths and property damage claims. It also asks whether the company’s “Full Self Driving” and automatic emergency braking systems were active at the time of any incident.

I get preferring to talk to a person. I honestly don't care either way; sometimes I order with the app and sometimes I don't; this big kiosk really just seems to be the app on a big screen, or something that works basically the same way as the app.

On the other hand, I'm always entertained by people who just really hate technology like this so they try to make a big stage-show of pretending like it's incredibly difficult and hard to understand and use; it reminds me of those crappy TV-order gadget commercials where people struggle to use a broom.

Better keep him away from a Wawa sandwich order.

Weird, all the cashiers? We’ve had kiosks here for years now but there’s always been one cashier booth, only ever manned if someone comes up to it. All you gotta do is belly up to it and someone comes right over.

nb: frequent McDonalds customer. Most trips since covid are drive thru. Most indoor stops are kiosk (with use of my belt loop hand sanitizer before and after). Only if the kiosk is being a pita, or I have a weird food modification do I approach the human cashier.

When I was traveling for work, I went to the Panera near the hotel a lot. (Omething I ne er do because Panara is expensive but work was paing for meals, see also: Chipotle). The first night I passed the kiosks, mostly because I wanted to see the wall menu, but when the cashier mentiomed them, I kind of joked about helping them keep a job.

I rolled back though on that though because Panara gives you piles of free things when you order eith the app, so e ery trip after, I was ordering from the hotel, with the app. This was back in like 2015 I think.

I guess the point is that at least the kiosk was losing its job too, or something.

On another related note, a Quarter Pounder meal in 1996-1997 was $3.35 after tax. Big Mac, Double Cheese Burger, Filet o Fish, 3.15. Every menu combination total is burned into my mind from 3 years of working Back Drive Through. I could give accurate totals without even being at the register, which I did a lot since Back Drive Through was also responsible for washing dishes, and often Inwould be finishing that when someone came to the box.

In looking a bit at this Blake Masters Twitter profile, he is running for the Senate and is endorsed by Trump. One has to assume that he's a corporate freedom-loving fellow, so McDonald's can charge $300 per Quarter Pounder and he should zip it as this is his this is just his worship of "free market" capitalism coming to fruition.

A quote on his campaign website:

You’d think they’d feel bad about it. But they don’t. They want it this way, it’s by design. An unholy alliance between Big Government, Big Tech, and Big Business threatens to permanently upend America as we know it. The Left believes that our country is fundamentally and irredeemably evil. That’s why they denounce it, loot it, and are rushing to make it unrecognizable.
Now, to me this looting he speaks of, has been happening since at least the 1980's by people such as himself, and his hero, the orange monster. The years between 2016 and 2020 were wholesale looting.

Another quote:
In Arizona, you should be able to raise a family on one single income. 'You used to be able to do that. After decades of government intervention stifling our growth, outsourcing our jobs, and devaluing our money, you can’t really do it anymore.
I see, so to him, it's the government that outsourced our jobs. No, no, Mr. Masters, that would be the owner class, the Trumps of the world, known for their outsourcing as he made full usage of outsourcing for his Trump merchandise and later, his campaign goods. Government intervention stifling our growth? Hmm...from my point of view, any govt agencies intended to protect consumers or workers is pretty much nonexistent these days. I also recall that as soon as Trump became president they moved, very quickly, to remove OSHA protections for mine workers, those put upon folks that Trump championed. Of course, we must have misunderstood his concern for these workers.

So, he believes that you should be able to raise a family on one single income. What are the odds that this man supports minimum wage increases? 0%, you say?

From Wikipedia:
Who is Tim Hortons owned by?

On August 26, 2014, Burger King agreed to purchase Tim Hortons for US$11.4 billion. The two chains became subsidiaries of the Canadian-American holding company Restaurant Brands International, which is majority-owned by Brazilian investment firm 3G Capital, on December 15, 2014.
