I don't believe it, not even in the early 2000s. Windows CE, maybe, but Windows 9x? With the 49 day timer rollover?

Edit: I was right, it's an embedded OS but they used Windows 98 to run the development environment back here on Earth.

When I left one company I took the guy replacing me to the beck of the computer room, and told him that if we had to do any warranty work on (list of projects) we needed these three computers to build the code.

* This one is running Xenix-286 and runs the PL/M compilers. You can also run them using the xenix-286 emulator on this Unixware 386 PC here, but (list of problems).

* This one runs DOS and runs the compatible linker, so you can link with a C version more recent than 1985. If you link on the Xenix box (list of problems). You can also link n the DOS emulator on the UNIXware box but you have to watch out for (list of problems)

* This one runs Unixware 386. It's the last version of Unixware thet runs the Xenix 286 emulator and has a C compiler compatible with the output from the DOS linker. You may or may not need to plug in this license dongle, but don't leave it plugged in because it can't be replaced.

All this is documented on this stack of papers, duplicated in this USB key, and on README files on all three computers and (these people) should also have copies.

There's supposed to be a copy of all this at the disaster recovery site but the last audit couldn't find it.

GOOD LUCK

The title is a mislead. You need to read the article - which also gets a lot wrong at first.

The original development tools were based or run on Windows 98. Considering the work was done over 20 years ago. I guess we should be glad they weren't doing development in Windows Me...

Heard about that on the radio and thought it was a joke, morbid, but a joke, then thought it was a joke, then thought it was a joke.

I might use it to have my mom yell for me to wake up. Nothing cut through a good dream like her voice did.

I'm going to give Google this one, because this obviously wasn't an intended development and I don't fault optimism just because it goes badly.

And thus Google stopped doing Google Doodles for the rest of time.

Ladies and gentlemen, I give you: Trumpscript!

Its features are:
  • No floating point numbers, only integers. America never does anything halfway.
  • All numbers must be strictly greater than 1 million. The small stuff is inconsequential to us.
  • There are no import statements allowed. All code has to be home-grown and American made.
  • Instead of True and False, we have the keywords fact and lie.
  • Only the most popular English words, Trump's favorite words, and current politician names can be used as variable names.
  • Error messages are mostly quotes directly taken from Trump himself.
  • All programs must end with America is great.
  • Our language will automatically correct Forbes' $4.5B to $10B.
  • In its raw form, TrumpScript is not compatible with Windows, because Trump isn't the type of guy to believe in PC.
  • TrumpScript boycotts OS X and all Apple products until such time as Apple gives cellphone info to authorities regarding radical Islamic terrorist couple from Cal.
  • The language is completely case insensitive.
  • If the running computer is from China, TrumpScript will not compile. We don't want them stealing our American technological secrets.
  • By constructing a wall (providing the --Wall flag), TrumpScript will refuse to run on machines with Mexican locales
  • Warns you if you have any Communists masquerading as legitimate "SSL Certificates" from China on your system.
  • Won't run in root mode because America doesn't need your help being great. Trump is all we need.
  • Easy to type with small hands
Everybody loves sample programs, so here is one in Trumpscript:

What are we in this country
Hillary speaks nothing but lies
But look at me I came to this election to make guys
believe again
believe in fact
if, all of us real lies the light; : say "VOTE TRUMP" !
but I know we should be free
else the result will be bad: all the work of George
Washington was for nothing
so this election say "Hello World" say "TRUMP FOR PRESIDENT"!
America is great.

Go grab it here: GitHub - samshadwell/TrumpScript: Make Python great again

Ooh ooh, girlie hardware! :poop:

I hang out in /r/GirlGamers, all anyone wanted from Logitech was reasonably priced, not overly large accessories in MORE colors, not just pink. I said once that all Logitech had to do was make its entry level and bang-for-the-buck lines in more colors and everyone would be happy. For example, the G203 mouse is popular on /r/GirlGamers because of the size and comfort for smaller hands and it already comes in a few colors, but not pink or forest green or deep purple. Same goes for their relatively recent G335 headset that got decent reviews. And they don't have an inexpensive keyboard that comes in many colors. All they had to do was release those in more colors, maybe add some RGB to the 335 and call it the 337 or something. If they had done that, they'd be very effective competitors to the Razer Quartz line.

The new Aurora collection is here:

As it is now, their new headset costs MORE than the Razer Kraken Quartz Kitty RGB and doesn't even come with cat ears! I think they want to go after the kawaii aesthetic pro-streamer market, because they're the ones who could justify paying these prices. And only one keyboard is wired and they're both tenkeyless, dammnit Logitech! And they don't have light blue keys for them so you can't make them trans-flag colored! The mouse only comes in white, the only color is in the mousepads.

Bad Logitech! BAD BAD!
