It is the law but if you are on the eastern end of the PA turnpike where everyone is going 70 even though it is marked 45 you will likely get killed going the speed limit.God it drives me nuts when topics of driving come up, mostly on Reddit, and people are like, "The speed limit doesn't matter if everyone else is speeding."
Like no. Its the limit. Its the top. Even if everyone is going 5mph more and passing you, while you are going the speed limit, you are still in the right and they are not. They are still breaking the law.
Some residential streets in my neighbourhood were recently equipped with modal filters, and also got turned into one-way streets - which resulted in many, many motorists ignoring the traffic signs, driving in the wrong direction and circumventing the bollard by driving across the pavement. I've seen some idiot driver ignoring the rules Every. Single. Time. I've been walking down the roads in that area since then.God it drives me nuts when topics of driving come up, mostly on Reddit, and people are like, "The speed limit doesn't matter if everyone else is speeding."

Makes sense when you put it like that. Driving through at 50 doesn’t feel fast till you’re the pedestrian trying to cross with a kid or a dog. Safer speeds = more livable cities, even if it takes getting used toIn Montreal city proper (not the highways, etc.), it’s generally 50km, but can go down to 30km in and around school and park areas. Of course, many take that as only a suggestion and go a little faster.
I think it may all depend on how much your city is a “walking city”. That may seem slow if you’re a driver, but it is much safer for everyone else. it’s often one of the reason it’s so hard to transition a city into a more pedestrian/cycling friendly one. Many just don’t feel safe enough, and the pushback from drivers who don’t want lower speed limits or bike paths, or even sidewalks added is almost immediate. People get used to having priority.
I'm just glad they are dedicating time to defeating the Woke Anti Sydney Sweeny's genes people instead of wasting time talking about how Trump is a Pedo and a Rapist.Fox News is going into it's second week of wall-to-wall coverage of the Sydney Sweeney scandal.
RELEASE THE SYDNEY SWEENEY FILES!
I've learned that Trump's name is in the Sydney Sweeney files, too.I'm just glad they are dedicating time to defeating the Woke Anti Sydney Sweeny's genes people instead of wasting time talking about how Trump is a Pedo and a Rapist.

In other news, scientists find rocks hard, water wet.
Also don't climb into your badly tested sub and get killed."Valuable lessons" like,
Trump “awakened a lot of people to the issues we’ve been raising for years,” Stout told Reuters. “He’s the best thing that’s happened to us.”
While the Aryan Freedom Network and other neo-Nazi groups remain on the outermost edges of American politics, broadly regarded as toxic by conservatives and mainstream America, they are increasingly at the center of far-right public demonstrations and acts of violence, according to interviews with a dozen members of extremist groups, nine experts on political extremism and a review of data on far-right violence.
Several trends have converged since Trump’s re-election, Reuters found. Trump’s rhetoric has galvanized a new wave of far-right activists, fueling growth in white supremacist ranks. Trump’s pardons of January 6 rioters and a shift in federal law enforcement’s focus toward immigration have also led many on the far right to believe that federal investigations into white nationalists are no longer a priority.
A couple of years ago, a curious, then-16-year-old hacker named Reynaldo Vasquez-Garcia was on his laptop at his Portland-area high school, seeing what computer systems he could connect to via the Wi-Fi—“using the school network as a lab,” as he puts it—when he spotted a handful of mysterious devices with the identifier “IPVideo Corporation.”
After a closer look and some googling, Garcia figured out that a company by that name was a subsidiary of Motorola, and the devices he’d found in his school seemed to be something called the Halo 3C, a “smart” smoke and vape detection gadget. “They look just like smoke detectors, but they have a whole bunch of features like sensors and stuff,” Garcia says.
As he read more, he was intrigued to learn that the Halo 3C goes beyond detecting smoke and vaping—including a distinct feature for discerning THC vaping in particular. It also has a microphone for listening out for “aggression,” gunshots, and keywords such as someone calling for help, a feature that to Vasquez-Garcia immediately raised concerns of more intrusive surveillance.
Reviewing the Consequences of Developing Wind Turbines on Migratory Birds. DOI intends to conduct “a careful review of avian mortality rates” at wind projects to determine whether such impacts qualify as “incidental” under the Migratory Bird Treaty Act (MBTA). Earlier this year, the DOI solicitor issued an M-Opinion reinstating the previous Trump administration’s interpretation that the MBTA does not apply to incidental take, an interpretation that actually eliminated a significant regulatory concern for the wind industry. There is ample data establishing that wind farms present minimal risk to migratory birds, so an unbiased review of avian mortality data from wind farms should identify no widespread concern. However, the DOI seems to be telegraphing a legal strategy to use the MBTA to block wind energy, while avoiding a conflict with the M-Opinion by classifying avian mortality at wind farms as intentional take. Because the MBTA is a strict liability criminal statute, this could result in the criminalization of the operation of wind farms, representing an existential threat to the industry and setting a dangerous precedent that could selectively be applied to other industries in the future.
