I was unsure where to post about Melania's new film, then after 2.6 seconds of searching I remembered "Nobody Cares".

Now it's official - nobody cares about Melania.

"If it were shown on an airplane people would still walk out."

Devourer of Men' Sales Surge on Amazon Amid Documentary Flop

The $75-million, Amazon-funded Melania Trump documentary is tanking at the box office, but a 2018 erotic thriller that depicts the First Lady as a sexual monster is rocketing up Amazon’s sales charts. Melania: Devourer of Men is currently an Amazon bestseller, sitting at number 3 in the “political thrillers & suspense” category in the Kindle store. A general search for "Melania" on Amazon returns a banner ad for the documentary, the First Lady's memoir, and the erotic thriller as the top results.

A Reddit-led campaign to disrupt the Amazon search results for “Melania” is behind the sudden spike in popularity of the eight year old book. “This weekend, Amazon is premiering its $75 million Melania Trump documentary. It already seems to be a flop,” a post in r/BoycottUnitedStates explained. “We're going to add insult to injury by messing up Melania's Amazon search results. Specifically, we're going to amplify the paranormal erotic thriller novel Melania: Devourer of Men so it ranks higher than her movie.”

Melania review – Trump film is a gilded trash remake of The Zone of Interest

She glides from the fashion fitting to the table setting, and from the “candlelit dinner” to the “starlight ball”, with a face like a fist and a voice of sheet metal. “Candlelight and black tie and my creative vision,” she says, as though listing the ingredients in a cauldron. “As first lady, children will always remain my priority,” she coos, and you can almost picture her coaxing them into her little gingerbread house.

No doubt there is a great documentary to be made about Melania Knauss, the ambitious model from out of Slovenia who married a New York real-estate mogul and then found herself cast in the role of a latter-day Eva Braun, but the horrific Melania emphatically isn’t it.

Well, at least some parts of MAGA are ending with a whimper and not a bang.

A new group is advertising a “March for Billionaires” in San Francisco on Saturday — either a Swiftian attempt to parrot Silicon Valley executives who are raging against a planned California billionaire tax, or an earnest try to ward it off.

“Vilifying billionaires is popular. Losing them is expensive,” reads the group’s website, which is scant and gives no indication of who is behind the effort. The site links to BlueSky and X accounts — the latter is @ProBillionaires — and records show it was created on Jan. 29.

Organizers say the effort is very real.
“We sincerely believe what we’re saying,” the organizers wrote in a message. “We think most American billionaires have had greatly positive societal impacts, directly and indirectly. We support wealth creation and oppose rent-seeking/extraction, anticompetitive practices, and regulatory capture.”
Could billionaires even make the time for a march of their own?

Something else predicted by Larry Niven.

Larry Niven said:
North toward Sunset, a man carried a white rectangular sign, blank on both sides. He was parading back and forth in front of a square-jawed youth on a plastic box, who was trying to lecture him on the subject of fusion power and the heat pollution problem. Even this far away I could hear the conviction and the dedication in his voice. -- Cloak of Anarchy (1972)

Vicious bigot gets ass-burning verdict from courts.

Despite CAIR voluntarily reducing her debt to them, she again attempted to void the settlement.

This bitch posted "I DON'T CARE ABOUT CHRISTCHURCH" after a white nationalist terrorist attacked two mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand, murdering 51 Muslims.

“We welcome this judicial ruling ordering Laura Loomer to complete her monthly payments to CAIR Legal Defense Fund and fully satisfy the attorney’s fees she owes us as a result of her failed lawsuit.

“Since Ms. Loomer began sending her payments to CAIR in 2023, our attorneys have used her funds to provide legal representation to the American Muslim community and advance free speech, religious freedom, and civil rights for everyone in our nation.

“We look forward to receiving Ms. Loomer’s final payments and using the funds to once again protect American Muslims and our neighbors from hate.”

You've done some good work with the Washington Post, Bezos. Truly stellar. :hellokitty:

The Washington Post has announced it is laying off one-third of its work force, sharply scaling back the paper's coverage of sports and foreign news.

The cuts, announced on Wednesday, will impact employees across departments with roles in the newsroom's sports, local and foreign sections hit particularly hard.

It marks the latest upheaval for the leading US newspaper, which is owned by billionaire Jeff Bezos, the founder of Amazon.
Executive editor Matt Murray said the cuts would bring "stability". But the announcement was met with condemnation from the paper's employees and some former leaders, one of whom described it as among the "darkest days in the history of" the storied newspaper.

"Today's news is painful. These are difficult actions," Murray wrote in a note to staff on Wednesday.

"If we are to thrive, not just endure, we must reinvent our journalism and our business model with renewed ambition."
I hear A.I.. could help with that. :hellokitty:
