I'm not sure it works this way, but...why the fuck not?

More than 120 House Democrats send letter to Biden urging him to ratify Equal Rights Amendment
A coalition of more than 100 lawmakers wrote a letter on Sunday urging President Biden to ratify the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA), which would outlaw gender discrimination in the Constitution.

“We must continue our efforts to fully affirm and recognize the equality of rights for all people, regardless of sex, as part of our Constitution, a vital effort that has never been more urgent,” Congress members penned.

“This action is essential as we prepare to transition to an administration that has been openly hostile to reproductive freedom, access to health care, and LGBTQIA+ rights.”

Manned drones. Filled with foreign nationals. Get it? lol
Do people not know how airports and airplanes work and look? Seriously, planes have standardized lighting, do people not have binoculars?

Saturn's moon, Mimas.

People are idiots. I've personally identified pictures for credulous people.

"That is NOT a UN helicopter. That is a Kiowa, the thing on it's mast is a laser designator sight thing. It pops up just enough for the mast mount to designate the target, then Apache's launch missiles from out of sight. It's black looking because of the lighting and because it's function will be as a low-visibility scout helicopter The Apache itself also looks black in various lighting, though it is really a dark blue."

"that picture you linked to is not a UFO, that is obviously a lifting body spaceplane type thing. Looks like NASA/USAF is still experimenting with them, (googles) yep. They've been doing that since the 60's at least. (links to pictures of NASA/USAF lifting bodies, including the one seen in the six million dollar man opening)."

If you want some of this SooperDooper(tm) Drone Detection Technology, there are several apps for your phone or tablet that will do the job. Of course, they probably have confusing names like ... *googles* .... oh ..... "Drone Scanner."

Funny how no one has said they verified the drones with that ....

*Some* former public officials are at least making intelligent suggestions.

Don't Shoot at Drones, Says Former FBI Agent: 'Bad Idea'
[former FBI agent Ron D'Amico] said that Trump's suggestion of shooting down drones "is probably the worst thing you can say."

"And if someone shoots at a drone, it is the same legally as shooting at a manned aircraft. No difference," D'Amico said. "So if you go start shooting down drones and, I've seen videos of it, you might as well be shooting at an airplane full of people. It's the same. So again, it is just irresponsible to start saying all these things."

Surprise: A former FBI informant on Monday entered a guilty plea on four federal charges related to falsifying statements that in part spurred a GOP congressional investigation into the Biden family.

Alexander Smirnov pleaded guilty on those charges and unrelated tax evasion charges after concealing millions in income.

Smirnov had relayed to the FBI that the head of the Ukrainian energy company Burisma told him he had paid both President Biden and his son Hunter Biden $5 million. The claims were false but became central to a House GOP probe of the Bidens.

In court documents, Smirnov admitted to providing “false derogatory information” about the president and his son.

Prosecutors and Smirnov agreed to a sentence of between 48 and 72 months in prison when he is sentenced next month.

We ARE doomed.
Anyone tag the FAA on that tweet yet? I'm sure they'd be keenly interested in knowing a congresscritter is publicly advocating shooting aircraft out of the sky!

Kind of an empty threat, considering that the low-and-slow drones they'll think they're shooting at are actually high-altitude airliners flying a few miles away and well out of range. The only people in any danger will be their neighbors on the ground.

I just want to take a moment to commend us all for the remarkable restraint we have demonstrated in the face of tremendous temptation.

Of course, I am referring to how we have not made endless New Jersey jokes about the drones, such as "Of all the places the aliens could go, they chose New Jersey?," or, "What, they're trying to get a glimpse of the Jersey Shore kids?," or even, as Colbert so rudely put it, "When we last met, these ominous sky visitors were being reported all over New Jersey. But since then, the drones have done what everyone in Jersey does: Go somewhere else."

I'm so glad we're better than that.
