Texas sheriff certifies that migrants flown to Martha’s Vineyard are crime victims

Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar’s office signed certifications for special visas only available to people who were the victims of a crime or who witnessed a crime. The certifications for these documents, known as U-visas, will allow all people on the flights to apply for legal status in the United States, according to the ACLU of Massachusetts. Nine of the people flown to Massachusetts are represented by the ACLU.

Managers in general, yes. But good managers, ones who both know the business and how to manage people well, are not fungible at all. American boards of directors have demonstrated time and again that, for example hiring a Pepsico CEO to manage Apple, fungibility of managers is a fantasy.

What you're seeing in the Apple case is that founders are not fungible.

We have yet to see whether Jobs was ultimately replaceable.

It's so weird how hot-takes like those always remove all agency from the people of Ukraine when talking about the war. The Ukrainians are just puppets of secret American generals; it's not like they actually WANT to resist being invaded and annexed by Russia. And if they do, they only feel that way because the US made them feel that way. Overgrown teenage edgelord techy-libertarians have grudges against the government that has the currency everyone uses so that only other techy-libertarians care about their crypto-coins and makes them pay taxes. They also don't like how "the west" frowns on the more nasty forms of bigotry so they admire Russia for "putting SJW's/LBGTQIA/minorities/feminists in their place". They also like how Russia is a kleptocratic oligarchy where if you're rich, the rules don't really apply to you as long as you play nice with Comrade Putin.
