Sorry, I must have missed the post where Beebo said she would vote for Trump. Not that she wouldn't vote for Gabbard but that she would actually vote for Trump or, indeed, anyone else at all.

Could you please direct me to it?
I interpreted what she said as that given the choice between Gabbard and Trump that she would choose Trump because Gabbard is smart and could do more damage. Not that she would vote third party. She did not say one word about writing in somebody else or voting third party. If she had said something about writing in someone else, I would not have said anything. What I said about earning votes is absolutely true, in any case. It doesn't mean I can't be horrified by the choice of someone picking Trump instead of any one of the twenty-odd candidates.

Fuck I don't remember
It’s funny how some people can use so many words to say “I made it up in my own head“ when they should really be saying “you’re right, I made an assumption I shouldn’t have.”

How about you let Beebo clarify what she meant instead of jumping down my ass.

No one else is trying to speak for Beebo except you. How about you stop being a Tulsi-humping puppet long enough to recognize that.

Just had to post this here. I was laughing so hard, I had tears in my eyes. What is he even on about? "In areas where water rushes out to sea because you could never handle it." "Areas where you have so much water..it comes down..it's called rain."

The joke is on us that this is his idea of what the EPA should focus on in addition to loosening up or removing regulations for polluters.

I can't see it ever being an issue, but yeah, I would not cast a vote for Tulsi Gabbard if she were the Democratic nominee for president. I don't trust her, and the more I read about her past history and her current history, the less I trust her. There's something deeply hinky about her, on a character level, and I'd rather stick with the devil I know to be at least half-brain dead.

If it were a choice between her and Trump, I'm staying home and stocking my bomb shelter.

I agree there are some weird things about Tulsi but talking about stocking your bomb shelter is a weird thing to say about her since she wants to demilitarize the US more than any other candidate.

Jokes are never funny if you have to explain, and it obviously wasn't that funny to begin with. If we ever reached the point (extremely unlikely) that Gabbard was the Democratic nominee, we'd be under seige by Russia. Or Martians.

I don't what you mean about jokes. She wants to demilitarize the US. Unlike any other candidate.

This whole Tulsi thing on VVO is so toxic. Here are my observations from somewhat afar news wise.

I moved back to NJ to take care of my Dad in 2015 who was 95 then. His favorite station was CNN. It didn't matter what they were broadcasting. My favorite time of theirs was watching Anthony Bourdain. A lot of the time it was their version of the news, which made me cringe. However out of respect for my Dad I watched it. Once in a while, Tulsi Gabbard made an appearance. This was long before she was running for president. Every single time she appeared (which was not often) she spoke about the need to deescalate the military. To make peace with the rest of the world. She would also mention that she served in the military. It always astounded me. A politician, a congresswoman who actually wanted to make peace with the world.

Some of you have pointed me to links which I've read where she is not the perfect politician I had imagined. That is sad. I wish there were some other politician who wanted to seriously work towards world peace. There is not that I am aware of.

Yeah, I'm sure Putin would be absolutely delighted if the U.S. de-escalated the military.

There's more than one kind of peace. Totalitarian regimes are very peaceful. As long as you behave.

Obviously you and I have different world views. Regardless of Tulsi, I do not think it is healthy at all for the US to be killing people all over the world for oil and domination for many decades.

"People are flushing toilets 10 times, 15 times, as opposed to once."

Um... Eww! I now have an insight into the flushing habits of the Trump household that I wish I didn't have!

There's a big difference between warmongering and maintaining a healthy military defense force. The latter is necessary to keep others, like perhaps Putin, from seeking to take military advantage of us. This is especially important given all the allies we've pissed off over the last three years.

Healthy? Do you call having more bombs and stuff than the rest of the world put together healthy? If we actually put all that money together to help ourselves we would be much stronger. Like actually having health care and addressing our homeless situation instead of killing people.

On the other hand, we haven't been invaded in quite some time.

I'm not saying we don't have an overabundance of munitions thanks to the Cold War, but I wonder with dread exactly how much "de-escalation" Tulsi has in mind.

There is little more I can think of to say.

Be some awful warmongering country like we are or work towards peace?
