Yes, and Carlson is doing a deep dive into Netanyahu and also has pointed out the massive inconsistencies about the Butler shooting. Carlson has definitely gone off the reservation. He had started this well before the Charlie Kirk shooting, but it has accelerated after that shooting and through the increasingly unhinged Trump second term. He has even apologized for his role in getting Trump elected, though all of that rings hollow. Still, i welcome every possible person who is speaking out now against Trump in hopes of bringing his administration down. I don't have any illusions about him, but MAGA on MAGA violence is something I am here for.

On the other hand, there are any number of people who want to see Trump dead. We've been joking about it here. I think assassinating him would be a big mistake since the world would end up with Trump canonised, at least in the view of MAGA, and President JD Vance taking office with the equivalent of the Reichstag Fire as an excuse to crush dissent, but it really doesn't surprise me people keep on trying to kill Trump.

Trump first announced he'd attend the dinner back on March 2.

I missed that little detail. Now I'm left wondering why Trump decided to attend, when he had shown such disdain for the event every other time it was held.

Pushing all my flippant, casual conspiracy-theories-as-entertainment to the side, THIS is where I really, seriously go "Huh?"

From the first, Trump's decision to attend this event has completely baffled me. It's contrary to his past history and to his character, not to mention his antipathy toward the press. I am waiting for any relatively believable reason that Trump believed that attending the WHPC dinner was of benefit to him and that warranted dragging the entire upper echelon of his administration with him.

If I can ever get past this point, I will review all other arguments that this was not a staged incident. Until that question is answered, however, I'm stuck in the default position of "Well, yeah, false flag sounds legit to me."

When you think of all the completely crazy, beyond belief, never in a thousand years would you have thought it possible things that this administration has done this year, a staged assassination doesn’t seem that far fetched.

From closing down agencies, shooting people in the street, everything in the Epstein files, to bulldozing the White House to make room for a gold leafed ballroom, starting wars with allies and siding with Putin, all the theft of $, and on and on, why do we still have a difficult time believing this could be possible?

If someone had told me before he was elected all that would happen once he was in office, I would have thought, no way. Never could it get to this point.

So, yes, damn right I believe it was staged. If I’m proven wrong, I will not be embarrassed, because thinking it was staged is actually very logical when you place it next to everything they have done. I’m basing my belief on all of their past actions. Frankly, to believe any of what they say is what I would consider crazy at this point. I choose not to be shocked anymore. Rapist fascists murderers don’t get the benefit of doubt from me.

His statement makes it seem like Trump officials and a few of their spouses were in the know that the attack was about to take place even if the journalists there were not.
