Bill Cobbs, a veteran Hollywood actor known for roles in “Demolition Man,” “That Thing You Do!” and “Air Bud,” among many others, has died, according to a family member. He was 90.

The news was confirmed by Cobbs’ brother Thomas Cobbs, who wrote on Facebook that the actor died on Tuesday “peacefully at his home in California.”

“A beloved partner, big brother, uncle, surrogate parent, godfather and friend, Bill recently and happily celebrated his 90th birthday surrounded by cherished loved ones,” the post continued.

The vast repository of content on Comedy Central‘s website — dating back 25 years — has been removed by parent company Paramount Global, in a move to push fans to Paramount+.

The site, at comedycentral.com, has until now hosted clips from all episodes of “The Daily Show” since 1999, as well as segments from the full 11-season run of Stephen Colbert’s “The Colbert Report,” among other video content. Thousands of “Daily Show” clips remain free to watch on YouTube, but those go back only to 2015.

A lot of episodes had things like "to see the extended interview go to ...". News article indicates that what is on Paramount+ are some, but not all, of the episodes. Not the extended clips. So . . . where do people go to see those now?

I cancelled Paramount+ a little bit ago, so I can't actually double-check that the extended clips are not on there.

American actor and comedian Martin Mull, known for his work on the TV sitcoms Sabrina the Teenage Witch and Roseanne, has died at age 80.

Mull, who also starred in the 1985 comedy film Clue, died on Thursday at his home after a “valiant fight against a long illness”, his daughter, Maggie Mull, said on social media.

In a tribute on Instagram, Ms Mull wrote that her father “was known for excelling at every creative discipline imaginable and for doing Red Roof Inn commercials".

“He would find that joke funny,” she added. “He was never not funny.”

"Beverly Hills, 90210" and "Charmed" star Shannen Doherty has died at 53 after a battle with breast cancer, her representative Leslie Sloane confirms.

Shannen Doherty, the actress known for her roles on "Charmed" and "Beverly Hills, 90210," has died after a battle with cancer. She was 53.

Doherty's death was confirmed Sunday by publicist Leslie Sloane in a statement shared with USA TODAY after People broke the news of the star's death. On Saturday, the actress "lost her battle with cancer after many years of fighting the disease," Sloane's statement read.

"The devoted daughter, sister, aunt and friend was surrounded by her loved ones as well as her dog, Bowie," the statement said.

‘Halo’ Canceled After Two Seasons at Paramount+

The live-action “Halo” series has been canceled at Paramount+, Variety has learned.

The big budget series based on the popular Xbox video game franchise aired two seasons at the streaming service. The show originally debuted in 2022, while the second season aired between February and March 2024.

“Paramount+ can confirm that ‘Halo’ will not move forward with a third season on the service,” the streamer said in a stataement.

I feel like I am the only person who actually liked this show, especially after Season 2 started turning things back around.

I feel like everyone dismissed it immediately because it wasn't a perfect rehash of the games. Honestly, I never understood the point of doing 1:1 rehashes of a story from one medium to another like that. If I wanted the games, I would.play the games (which I have, except the console only one).

I mean, if something is way way off, that's lame, but remixing the basic ideas is alright.

I do wonder if there just wasn't the budget for it. A lot of the show was human on human interaction, and not combat. The special effects were great, but that also probably means they were expensive and it's why we barely actually saw the covenant in Season one.

By the end of S2 they finally reached the ring, and introduced the flood, so the CGI budget would have had to explode for S3.

I may have to switch to that. I have the Hulu (with ads) and Disney (Without) but apparently it's up to $19. I also have HBO with ads for $10.

I think it also includes ESPN in the Legacy Hulu Bundle but I do not care about that.

Honestly, I kind of just want to dump them all and go back to piracy. I am so fucking tired of ads but the ad free tiers are always so stupid pricey.

Considering my Disney Plus was going to go from $87 a year to $137, I don't trust them not to switch you from ad free to ad supported half way through your term. I cancelled my Disney Plus.

So, FWIW, I switched.

It was pretty painless, and I started from Max. I did."change plan", which referred me to the Hulu Page, where I changed from the Hulu/D+/ESPN+ plan to the Hulu/D+/Max plan. I think it dumped me over to Max to connect things, so I didn't even lose any current viewing progress.

I did notice that when I went back to Max, it said I had two plans. I am not sure of the old one would drop.off on its own or not but I cancelled it for good measure. Nothing like that showed up on the Hulu/D+ side.

Also, there was a pro rated charge of $6.xx that I assume was catching HBO Max up to the due date of the new plan or something.
