Maybe Microsoft should sell the Hotmail brand to them for the trifecta.

When Microsoft bought Hotmail it was running on FreeBSD, and Microsoft took that as a bit of a slap in the face, and they tried three times to set up Windows infrastructure to replace the FreeBSD infrastructure and it took them three tries. They eventually wrote up a big paper on how they replaced all some of that UNIX with Windows. By buying a company that let you run UNIX software on Windows and replacing a small number of UNIX boxes with a larger number of Windows boxes pretending to be UNIX boxes.

I try to avoid this whole fight meme, but just based on what I know of these two, Zuck kind of "looks like" a wimp, but I feel like he takes care of himself a lot more than Musk healthwise and would probably wipe the floor with Musk in an actual fight.

Also, I feel like Zuckerberg is a lot more intelligent and rational. Zuck is an evil, greedy capitalist but at least I understand that. Musk seems a lot more motivated by ego and the hero worship he cultivates and is maybe less predictable, because he's less rational.

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg said on Threads that he’s “ready to fight” X owner Elon Musk but not to believe that there’s a scheduled date until he confirms it.

Musk claimed Friday morning that the fight would be livestreamed on X and “Meta,” and that everything you’d see on camera “will be ancient Rome.” Italy’s culture minister promptly indicated in a statement that the planning isn’t as far along as Musk suggests, nor will any event actually be held in Rome. Now Zuckerberg is indicating that the rest of the details are a surprise to him, too.

“I love this sport and I’ve been ready to fight since the day Elon challenged me,” Zuckerberg said. “If he ever agrees on an actual date, you’ll hear it from me. Until then, please assume anything he says has not been agreed on.”
