One thing that's horrid with these types of takeout sandwiches is when you accidentally bite into the tinfoil and chew it. 😒
You unwrap them bit by bit to eat 'em? I thought people only did that in the movies.

That's me! Living my movie life, trying to avoid grease stains and tinfoil, eating my sandwiches bit by bit. As I leave the diner, steak and cheese in one hand, bouquet of wild flowers in the other, I bump into a stranger. We sing a song or two (ba ba bi bi) It's New York, no one seems to notice or care. We fall in love.

Ok - this is really weird but I have been craving "Tang" for weeks. Weeks. I mentioned this to my bother who also has weird food cravings like me and low and behold, he told me I could get Tang on Amazon. (I thought the company who made Tang had gone out of business). Apparently my brother craves Tang too, so he knew.

My brothers and I had a glass of "space juice" (Tang) with breakfast every morning growing up. Tang and oatmeal were staples in our childhood diet. So I ordered some Tang and it arrived yesterday. I had it this morning and it tastes much better than I remember it tasting as a kid.

Edited to say that sometimes I crave Ovaltine which we used to have in copious amounts as kids too, I wonder if its still around?

My mom and her Tang! She loved it (and Welches Grape juice). We'd also have it for breakfast. I don't think there was much real orange juice available then except frozen concentrate. I haven't had that in years.

Ovaltine's certainly still around in the UK. I have to keep tubs of Ovaltine and Horlicks as well as hot chocolate for those feeling sorry for myself but I'd better not drink a bottle of brandy moments.

Amazon and Walmart.com both sell it.

I can’t eat eggs anymore and it’s making me sad. ☹
I can’t think of any substitute, either. If I wind up in some diner I’ll have to hope they have enough other things for breakfast protein.

It’s sort of like the Spam skit, but in my case I’d be trying to get the Spam without the eggs.

Aww, why not?

There's always bacon, though that tends to lead to other problems. I wish I had a suggestion for the egg substitute.

Thanks.

I think it’s an intolerance, because my digestion reacts badly. The traces in baked goods don’t seem to matter.

Bacon is good. A lot of places will have something like sausage or pork chops. I just miss the eggy things.
