House Republicans on a key committee revealed Wednesday that Democrats are seeking 10 years’ worth of Donald Trump’s private financial records from a point in time before he became president—and the GOP lawmakers want the inquiry to stop, arguing that such a request exceeds the committee's authority.

Yikes: Trump’s Likely Fed Pick Stephen Moore Owes Over $75,000 To IRS

Stephen Moore, President Donald Trump’s much-maligned likely nominee for the Federal Reserve, owes more than $75,000 to the IRS due to unpaid taxes from 2014.

According to a Wednesday Bloomberg report, Moore’s wife, Anne Carey, said that the debt stems from a mistaken deduction Moore took for alimony and child care to his former wife, when only alimony is deductible.

The IRS reportedly rejected the deduction and added penalties and interest.

What happens when the wind doesn't blow or the Sun isn't shining? Well, Florida Power & Light, who happens to supply electricity to Palm Beach, where Mar-a-Lago is, is building the world's largest battery farm, while closing two old natural gas plants. They are also in the midst of a huge solar power build-up. The battery farm will have a peak output of 409 MW, and can store 900 MWh when full. That's equivalent to charging 15,000 Tesla Model 3's, or enough stored power to run a big screen TV in every FPL customer's house for 8 hours.

Trump Fed pick was held in contempt for failing to pay ex-wife over $300,000

Court records in Virginia obtained by the Guardian show Moore, 59, was reprimanded by a judge in November 2012 for failing to pay Allison Moore more than $300,000 in spousal support, child support and money owed under their divorce settlement.

Moore continued failing to pay, according to the court filings, prompting the judge to order the sale of his house to satisfy the debt in 2013. But this process was halted by his ex-wife after Moore paid her about two-thirds of what he owed, the filings say.

Also a lousy husband, according to the article. But we all probably guessed that.
