It's not his lawyers who get up on stage and screech insanity for the last 12 years (going back to the birther phase). It's not his lawyers who have consistently held nazi rallies targeting anyone and everyone, including encouragement of violence at said nazi rallies. It's not his lawyers who force him to post insanity daily, first on Twitter, now on his Truth Social (sic). It's not his lawyers who stood before his minions and called upon them to march upon the Capitol on 1/6, telling them that the election had been stolen.

Not that I wouldn't mind seeing some like Rudy Giuliani and Sidney Powell get pummeled by the courts, but nay, Trump really needs some consequences for the first time ever in his life. If this crazy man somehow, yet again, escapes consequences and manages to get into office, then pardoning himself, this country is going to go through hell the likes of which we have not seen before.

The man makes Benedict Arnold, John Walker, Aldrich Ames and Robert Hanssen and Richard Nixon look like babes in the woods.

He drew crayola all over Goebles autobiography and then found people who would buy it. This is entirely on the Cristian Nationalist Right.

It was suggested to me that perhaps his attorney made the ridiculous admissions he did today on Fox because he wants to be fired. My reaction is "he could have done a better job of owning up."

Obvously I don't know about US courts but, while I can't say I've never heard an English judge issue similar warnings, it's only ever been in cases where the judge thinks there's a clear risk the defendant may be tempted to interfere with witnesses or otherwise obstruct the investigation -- former partners accused of stalking or harassment, for example, or cases which are said to arise from feuds between neighbourhood gangs.

Since Trump's lawyers will soon have all the papers in the case, including witness statements, the judge may well have reason to fear Trump will blow up on Truth Social about named prosecution witnesses, inviting his MAGA supporters to show them how patriots deal with traitors.

It'll be interesting to see what happens if and when he does.
