Similar. Raised by an authoritarian evangelical christian stepfather & a mother with a subversively simple approach to all these matters; her faith was honed while Bristol was bombed almost every night during her teens.
As a result, I now view all organized religion as a bureaucracy of spirituality forced harshly upon some very good ideas on how to live your life. I try my best to follow those ideals, while watching in horror as all these bureaucracies tear the world apart in the name of god.
