Somewhere, in the distance, the sound of the world's smallest violin playing "My Heart Bleeds For You" fills the air.
he... puts it on his instagram...

and... the gop worked long and hard for those kinds of at will employment arrangements... is he a traitor to the party?

A COVID Story.

On December 5th here in Louisiana, Republican Luke Letlow, a staunch Trump supporter, won a runoff election against State rep Lance Harris to replace retiring Congressman Ralph Abraham as Representative for Louisiana's 5th congressional district. MY district - or, well, the district where I live. For what it's worth, Abraham apparently promised back when he originally ran that he would only serve 3 terms in Congress, and he honored that promise by not running again this year, so there's that.

Two weeks after winning the runoff election, on December 18, Letlow announced he had tested positive for coronavirus. He said he was going to follow CDC guidelines and quarantine at home.

Three days later, on December 21, a representative told the press that Letlow was admitted to the hospital for treatment, as he had developed symptoms.

Two days after that, he was transported to the regional hospital in Shreveport because his condition was deteriorating.

Tonight, December 29, he died.

Less than a month after being elected to Congress, Luke Letlow caught COVID-19, and then died from it.

He was 41 years old.
Actually quite a few politicians, particularly state representatives have passed from COVID and several have been diagnosed with it but not died.

"The second believes that people should be responsible to decide for themselves how best to protect their health and how much risk they are willing to assume."

Too true. Too true. Shame those fuckheads don't respect the people in the first group trying to do EXACTLY THAT.

If he and his fiance were threatened, then that's really unacceptable. But the firing? That's just the consequences of bad judgment. Bad judgment in engaging in maskless frolicking, followed by the bad judgment of public posting to social media.

But given that Santos is a gay Republican, bad judgment is kinda his thing already.
