Matt Gaetz’s former girlfriend has told friends she’s worried that the woman who is key to the federal government’s sex-crimes investigation tried to get her to incriminate the Florida lawmaker on a recorded call.
The revelation raises the possibility that federal prosecutors have two top cooperating witnesses: the woman who was an alleged sex-trafficking victim when she was a minor and the Gaetz associate already indicted for that crime, former Seminole County Tax Collector Joel Greenberg.
Smarmy, corrupt, affluenza ridden white pos congresscritter.Saw something on Twitter and I can't find it now, but I Twitter the tweet well enough. It was a quote of Gaetz talking to some "America First" our "Save America" group. Along with the "Anglo Saxon" stuff, he also stressed the preservation of "our faith in Jesus Christ".
So there it is. They just left out the W and the P, they really meant White Anglo Saxon Protestants. Those are the only people they want to "save America" for. What about Jews, Muslims, pagans, etc?
If that silly anti-yoga Alabama law is any indication, that's so they want to save it from.
Not surprising coming from a guy who brought a Holocaust denier to a SOTU.
When you are using Signal to share encrypted messages you are aware that the other person is also using Signal. Both parties are aware of what is going on, so if you do not trust the other person and want to keep a record for your own protection you have to take a screenshot because that is done through the operating system and not the app. Greenberg could have deleted the screenshots once he became aware the FBI was involved, but he has used this as part of his bargain to cooperate in the investigation. It seems pretty clear that Greenberg knew what he was doing. He used the screenshots as part of his efforts to cooperate and cover his own derriere, and Gaetz is learning the downside of working with someone who is just as sleazy as he is. Looks like the FBI found two real winners here, and Greenberg was prepared and happened to flip first. The downside is that Greenberg may get off relatively easy when both of these cockroaches deserve first hand knowledge of just how grotesque the US justice system can be.Quite why people would use an encrypted messaging service *and then screenshot the conversation* is beyond me, but I'm not a Republican super genius, obviously.
