There are rumors going around that Twitter has lots of people which can be fired easily, because it had several diversity hiring rounds to get rid of its image as white only tech company. These new employees then were mostly allocated to dead end projects, which are unimportant for the big picture.

How much credence do you say we should give to these unsourced rumours? I mean, only a few days ago there were "rumours going around" about fentanyl in Halloween candy for children, but they didn't seem to amount to much.

Besides that, BAD engineers feel the need to rewrite everything because it's harder to maintain/reverse engineer code than write new shit. Better programmers often write less code or even delete code.

Well the impersonation is a response to the new 8$ fee. Many people who were stripped of their blue checkmarks and don't want to pay the fee have just changed their name to "Elon Musk" in protest.

And Musk is now busy to suspend these accounts, of course in the name of free speech.
