No amount of abusive ex boyfriend posturing is going to stop the huge advertisers making public statements about suspending ad placements on Twitter. I can see it now. Elon puts out his big Hall of Shame list only to have a cascade of replies: “I see you read our press release from yesterday.”

According to Musk Twitter is loosing 4 million US$/day, so about 1.46 billion US$/year. Sounds plausible, Twitter never had real good business plans nor big profit.

I agree with all her observations! I also was made to study "turn arounds" in management classes for work and it's pretty well demonstrated that big, violent, FLASHY turn around efforts often don't work well. They are more effective at making you look good to dumb outsiders. Musk had always been a far better salesman than a businessman or engineer. He's better at selling his stocks to people than producing. ...sadly, salesmanship seems to be the king skillset for getting super rich.

As someone pointed out in response to an earlier thread, the car companies are not likely to come back. Twitter is too closely linked to Tesla. Why give Musk their money?

I dunno. Presumably they want to spend their advertising budget to sell cars, no matter who owns the company. I'd have thought the direction Twitter is likely to take under Musk's chaotic leadership is probably a bigger problem than his ownership of Tesla.
