I get that Biden can be a bit of a touchy kind of person who tends to get a little too close at times. Yes, that's a bit creepy. But as far as I know, he's never copped a feel nor actually sexually assaulted anyone; as opposed to Kavanaugh, who was accused of the outright rape and assault of several women. There is absolutely no comparison here! And it pisses me off that someone would actually dare to make such a comparison and conflate the two!

Biden has responded and I'm satisfied that he's learned his lesson. I never thought he was trying to cop a feel but he's definitely a close talker on steroids and he needs to respect people's personal space better.

I believe these women when they say he made them feel uncomfortable. I have been in some very uncomfortable "touchy" situations with men too over the years, But I'm having a real hard time with the comparison to the likes of accused rapist, Kavanaugh. I also resent Republicans trying to control the narrative on this and spin it into Democrats being hypocrites. No, just no.

I do not prefer Beto at this point, but it is undeniable that Texans find it difficult not to pick things from, by, for, or of Texas. It is a nearly irresistible marketing ploy. Like: half the stuff in the supermarket has Texas in the name. Or is shaped like Texas. Or the coffee, which comes in Houston, Austin, San Antonio, etc. flavors. Bottled iced tea comes in various fruit flavors, each labeled with the Texas town where the fruit was grown. Just imagine the names of BBQ sauces and salsas.

Texas has 38 electoral votes.

Pretty impressive, for me esp. his thoughts on not ceding Christianity to the Insane Right.

I think if I could pick the nominee, without considering Trump, it would be him.

Yeah, I heard multiple things in his resume that were WOW .... and that was even before finding out he was LGBT. My main concern is he seems to not have the right experience, granted Sanders also has mayor on his resume, but also senator and former candidate.

I am not following the early Democratic race. Part of it is a pragmatic fatalism: I will vote for whatever Dem runs against Trump, even if I have to hold my nose while doing so. I know some folks who are excited about Pete Buttehwhat, but I know nothing about the guy. Based on very little, I like Cory Booker. He doesn’t seem to be gaining traction, however, and I’ve read a lot of suggestions that he’s fake. To me, that is a bit like saying you don’t like this lemon because it’s sour but all the other lemons are fine.

Whatever. Just soundly defeat Trump, Future Democratic Nominee, so we can watch history grind him into the mud.

Pretty much the same. In DC the dems will win anyway (this area is not just blue, in '16 donnie got 5% of the vote). The very likely odds are that I will vote for the dem candidate, no matter WHO it is unless there is a really good independent. As I said, in DC you are essentially guaranteed a dem win because of this quaint electoral college. It also matters that independent parties need the national popular vote (3% or is it 5%) to get matching funds, a system the big kids eschew anyway.

In the primaries all bets are off. There is absolutely no reason for anyone not to vote for who they like the most.
