Biden has responded and I'm satisfied that he's learned his lesson. I never thought he was trying to cop a feel but he's definitely a close talker on steroids and he needs to respect people's personal space better.
Agreed but to play it fair personal space means different things to different cultures and such. I am sure the EU get-togethers quickly wind up with different MEPs basically chasing each other across the room as each of them tries to get to a comfortable distance from whoever they are talking to.

Biden should be assuming someone wants the maximum distance though. A politician should know their personal definition of personal space may not be the same as anyone else.

Whelp, I'm not a betting gal, but the money is on Biden NOT winning, and most likely dropping out early.
Yes, I just can not really see him as a president unless the better candidate drop out.

It is not totally age-related but at his age you really need to have that 'it' factor. Bernie has it and because of that he gets enthusiasm from younger voters.

Biden to me strikes me as pretty much any advisor though. Whoever wins would be missing an obvious thing not to offer him chief-of-staff or any other senior cabinet position.

I've no interest in voting for Buttigieg now: for the naivete this represents, and for having Saletan on his side. Possibly more because of the latter.

(As noted in some of the replies to that tweet, Julian Castro was mayor of San Antonio, and Texas ain't quite riding a blue wave.)

Former Senator Mike Gravel (Alaska) is throwing his hat into the ring, but not really to run for president but to shift the conversation: Gravel Declares Presidential Bid to Highlight Anti-Interventionism and Direct Democracy

He ultimately backs Tulsi Gabbard. I don't know why he didn't just get out and stump for her. He has very little chance of making the debates, honestly, given that he needs 65k donors and 200 from each state.

Sanders is a poor pick for Prez for reasons other than writing a successful book (Good on him for that.)

As for Chris "But Her Emails" Cillizza:

Yeah, make a woman's accomplishment about how it makes a dude look good. Good Jerb!

I really don't like Assange or what he did. Yes, I believe in the freedom of the press and all of that, but with freedom comes responsibility. I have no respect for journalists who sell out the security of their country in the pursuit of a hot story. Most reputable journalists have enough integrity to avoid doing so.

I don't believe covering up war crimes falls into the category of harming our security. I do believe that he was irresponsible when it came to redactions, however, I agree that the war crimes should have been exposed. Unfortunately, no one is paying any price for that except whistleblowers.

Whistleblowers have become necessary because powerful people have been using the government for their own personal reasons. The act of whistleblowing is often a mess. I can’t ever say it’s a good thing, but it can be a desperately necessary thing. So I’m still sympathetic to Manning, but by now I despise Assange.
