The Democratic field is so strong this time that I hope whoever is nominated takes advantage and invites some of them to join their administration should they win. For example, imagine Harris as Attorney General, going after Trump.

This thought gives me joy.

I'm not sure you can chalk up Ann Coulter, Tucker Carlson, Matt Drudge and Breitbart fawning over her as merely the left trying to tear her down.
I don't pay much attention to those, but I do know that Carlson is very much in the non-interventionist court. We have him to thank for Trump not starting WWIII this past week. As I said, if that is your priority, then the association is not so bizarre. If you really think that her policies on domestic issues appeals to them, you are doing massive mental jiu-jitsu to smear her. Just because they may overlap in one area does not make her an avatar of the right.

Feels like thanking a pedophile sex offender for not killing the children he abused.

Technically correct, but kicking him in the face would still work just as well.

He's basically the modern-day equivalent of Rudolf Hess surrendering to the Allies in an attempt to broker a peace deal.

This is garbage. Since when did the Democratic Party become the party of endless war? Just to oppose Republicans? People need to GTFO with that. Tucker Carlson may be a racist shit stain but even a broken clock is right twice a day.

This garbage of equating "engagement" with eternal military occupation is bullshit. No. It is not "isolationist" to recognize that the fucking Afghanistan war is now old enough to vote and go to college, and we're still not any better off. We're wasting lives and trillions of dollars. Even a racist shit stain can see this and be right about that.

Well to be fair, I've got a lot of colleagues in my company who are directly from India or Indian descent. This is quite normal in the UK, depending in which are you are working.

The Indians don't consider themselves black - first they think of themselves as Indian or British (if immigrated and from Indian descent), maybe then Asian (European) and that's it. This whole obsession about races like Caucasian and so on those days is mostly an American obsession, while many other countries thankfully moved on.

Really? What about Tommy Robinson/EDL, Britain First, UKIP, etc al? Skinheads (or whatever they're calling themselves these days)?
Whatever the Indians consider themselves, to the racists they and the Pakistanis are all wogs, and subhuman, just like the racists here.

Keep in mind, this was an entirely unforced error on Biden's part. HE brought the spotlight to this part of his political history, apparently oblivious to how it reads today. This is the man who will beat Trump? Really?

n a series of never-before-published letters from Biden, which were reviewed by CNN, the strength of his opposition to busing comes into sharper focus, particularly how he followed the lead of -- and sought support from -- some of the Senate's most fervent segregationists.

"My bill strikes at the heart of the injustice of court-ordered busing. It prohibits the federal courts from disrupting our educational system in the name of the constitution where there is no evidence that the governmental officials intended to discriminate," Biden wrote to fellow senators on March 25, 1977. "I believe there is a growing sentiment in the Congress to curb unnecessary busing."

Biden, who at the time was 34 and serving his first term in the Senate, repeatedly asked for -- and received -- the support of Sen. James Eastland, a Mississippi Democrat and chairman of the Judiciary Committee and a leading symbol of Southern resistance to desegregation. Eastland frequently spoke of blacks as "an inferior race."

Given the way Bernie behaved in 2016 after Hillary did get the nomination, it's a fair question to ask him. Why would they ask it of Kamala and Pete, though I am sure both would unequivocally say yes. Like Biden, I think Bernie also needs to move on - there are much better candidates that have not spent their entire lives as professional politicians. We need new ideas and new blood, and neither Biden nor Bernie is that. I freely admit I don't want either one of them.
Actually, given how Bernie was treated in 2016 he behaved EXTREMELY graciously. Did you even WATCH the convention?

For example, his showing in WV was, well, pretty impressive. Yet when all was said and done WV reported all counties were for HRC.

Vermont, HIS HOME STATE, WHICH OF COURSE WOULD GO FOR HIM, also went to ... HRC. What is worse is he was the one that had to parrot the numbers back from the floor, like a good little laptog, but if you were watching you could see how little enthusiasm he did as he did so.

Yet he still played nice, he next said HRC should get the nod and became a Hillary surrogate.

That is more than I would have done. If I had that done to me I would have burned that fucking conventional hall down and urged my supporters to vote for ANY party that was not one of the major two.

Umm, Bernie did not offer to pass the torch to gen x 32 years ago. I am not saying Baby Boomers should not (that is a different discussion) but he can not be held to anything someone else in his cohort said unless he agreed to it.

So he was "against court ordered bussing"? That means "leave it up to the states and their schools", right? We know how that would've turned out. If he actually thought otherwise he was naive.

Who is holding him to that? He's saying that Stalwell's comments to Biden are ageism.

If Stalwell wants to expand his remark it to the entire generation, then it is.

Even if it was a comment that was not specific to Biden an upper bound (and for that matter a lower bound) on eligibility really should depend on the individual. Unfortunately people would call that unfair so you need an arbitrary age number.

WTF? Are you responding to me?

Just asking, because I said nothing of that.

Are you on drugs?

My point was simply that Carlson is such a despicable human being that kicking him in the face is always an option.

I haven't even mentioned "Afghanistan", "isolationism" or any of the words you put between quotation marks.

There are some people you never want to have on your side. Imagine you're organizing a protest and there's one guy who wants to join just because he wants to throw rocks at the police. Do you want him on your side? Are you so desperate for support?

That guy is Tucker Carlson in a nutshell.

Think he's on your side? Just wait until a Republican comes along who can make a better case to him, such as "let's invade and take their oil" (Bush/Cheney 2003). Carlson will stab you in the back in a split second - and then run with his credentials as being the sensible non-interventionist who was won over by reason. If the right just wants to pull out of Afghanistan to free up troops for the next big military adventure, then they're not really non-interventionists, are they?

The only reason why Tucker Carlson opposed an attack on Iran this time is because his Nazi audience thinks it would make America subservient to the interests of Israel and Saudi Arabia. But he'll spin on a dime the next time someone promotes the idea of invading a less fortified country, killing a sizeable portion of their population and selling the victims' gold teeth to the Swiss.

And if the ongoing occupation of Afghanistan is an obvious waste of resources, then why would you give a racist shitstain credit for recognizing the obvious? I don't get complimented on my acute powers of observation when I point out that it's raining or that the sun is shining, so why should I do this for a white supremacist like Carlson?

Granted, I will feign mild interest if a four-year-old proudly shows me their crude crayon drawings - do racists now fall into the same category?
(Just being sarcastic here)
