Amazon and the Teamsters union should create a depot in neighboring Alabama and tell Greene's constituency in northwest Georgia "You chose an unhinged lunatic to represent you and we don't feel our drivers are safe entering your counties. You can pick up your stuff over here, we're not delivering it to your homes or stores."

The Alabama side of the border is just as right-wing. All of the rural south is. Georgia's 14th district ended up with a crazy lady because she ran unopposed. Most of the Republican congresspeople know not to say the quiet parts out loud, whatever their private beliefs. Alabama's 5th district, which the north end of the state and adjoins Greene's is represented by Mo Brooks, who you may remember was pushing to overturn the election too.

I'm in Canada and I also am worried for my US neighbors. What I saw on January 6, I NEVER thought I would ever see that in the USA. Some of these Republicans are nuts. Which in turn has made some of us Canadians question the conservatives over here and yes some of us are worried that this crap is going to carry on over here. They are trying to disengage themselves, but I think at this point it is too late. I am more determined than ever not to vote for conservatives EVER. I will vote to just keep them out.

I've never voted for a Tory and never will. Seems to be a penchant they all have for cutting health care, nurses, mental health supports, poverty and homelessness supports, basically majority of integral social networks and programs that help keep people alive. I've always identified them in Canada as the party of big business and the tax cut moneyed set.

People like that shouldn't be in office. I am not even a big Trudeau fan, but if we have an election, I will vote for him rather than see that O'toole as PM. At least Trudeau has a mandate, even though I don't like everything he does.

"We asked [Gosar] flat-out, at that time, do you think we're heading into a civil war?" Arroyo said of his exchange with Gosar. "And his response to the group was just flat-out, 'We're in it, we just haven't started shooting yet.'"

Arroyo used Gosar's claim to back up his theory that the US was "in the begining phases of a full-scale, kinetic civil war" provoked by a "communist insurrection."

So looking down the list of people who stormed the Capitol I am seeing charges for the following:

Knowingly entering or remaining in any restricted building or grounds without lawful authority; knowingly engages in disorderly or disruptive conduct in any restricted building or grounds without lawful authority; violent entry and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds

Why aren't they charging these people under Title 18, US Code 2383 - Rebellion or Insurrection? I don't understand.

Whoever incites, sets on foot, assists, or engages in any rebellion or insurrection against the authority of the United States or the laws thereof, or gives aid or comfort thereto, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than ten years, or both; and shall be incapable of holding any office under the United States.

WHY AM I NOT SEEING THIS CHARGE?

Also, what about murder? Eight people died while these assholes committed a felony.
