I can understand being worried about political precedent where we always go after political opponents... but it's even worse to set the precedent that the President is above the law. Trump has taken a giant shit over the law and constitution. We can't let this slide.
When it comes to Comey, you can pretty much count on him to get anything concerning an election wrong.

Hell, be glad if they just 25th him, and then let Pence hand things over properly. Heard he unfollowed Twitler.
Unfortunately the Constitution prevents Pence from doing it until the Electoral Count is finished. It specifies the VP presides, and if Pence kicks Trump out right now there will be no VP. But any time afterwards is fair game.

Crikey! Even Lindsey Graham is bailing on him

I mean, obviously he was going to, since he seems to lack all sense of personal loyalty or political principle, and instead tries simply to ingratiate himself with the powerful, but it's still something to see him jumping ship.

All it needs now is for Melania to dump him and shack up with Ted Cruz.

Here's a possibility, unlikely as it may be. The 25th amendment has a few stages. Quoting from someone on reddit, hope it's right.

Cabinet boots pres, VP takes over

Pres can immediately object, Pres immediately takes back over at this point

Cabinet+VP can object to the objection to congress

Both chambers need a 2/3 vote to remove the pres/keep VP in power
The kicker is though, congress has 21 days to make up their minds. So if Pence and 1/2 the cabinet members decide to 25th him then Congress can just do nothing and run out the clock for another two weeks. Then orangey would still be officially president with no power and with Pence being acting president with all the power. Unlikely but who knows anymore.

In his 62-minute call, Trump uttered the pronoun they 152 times: Roughly every 47th word out of his mouth was they, almost double the frequency of anyone else on the call. And in an unsettling number of those instances, it’s impossible to tell from context who they are.

“Early in the morning, they [all emphasis added] went to the table with the black robe and the black shield, and they pulled out the votes … they are burning their ballots, that they are shredding, shredding ballots and removing equipment. They’re changing the equipment on the Dominion machines … they say it’s not possible to have lost Georgia … they dropped a lot of votes in there late at night … why did they put the votes in three times? … they need more time for the big numbers … it is more illegal for you than it is for them because, you know, what they did and you’re not reporting it … they are removing machinery, and they’re moving it as fast as they can … they dumped ballots into Fulton County … there were 18,000 ballots, but they used them three times …”
Feel free to search for context. You won’t find it. The result is a bunch of nefarious actions performed by a shadowy, undefined, antecedent-less they.

As the violent mob incited by President Donald Trump stormed the U.S. Capitol on Wednesday, some West Wing staffers panicked that they were possibly becoming participants in a coup to overthrow the government. “What do I do? Resign?” one nervous White House staffer asked a friend on Wednesday afternoon, shortly after news broke that a woman had been shot and killed inside the Capitol. The West Wing staffer told the friend that White House Counsel Pat Cipollone was urging White House officials not to speak to Trump or enable his coup attempt in any way, so they could reduce the chance they could be prosecuted for treason under the Sedition Act. “They’re being told to stay away from Trump,” the friend said. The White House declined to comment.
