ERG publishes its case against May's deal
In a document entitled:
Your Right to Know,
the pro-Brexit European Research Group outlines its case against the draft withdrawal agreement "in plain English".
It says the deal would leave the UK "half in and half out" of the EU.
"This will mean that we will become a ‘vassal state’ many of whose laws will have been created abroad and over which we have no influence.
"This is completely against the spirit of the 2017 referendum in which 17.4 million UK citizens voted to leave the European Union."

ERG suggests Super Canada deal as alternative
The ERG document highlights five key issues it has with Mrs May's deal. It says the deal means:
·Not taking back control of our money
·Not taking back control of our laws
·Being locked in a Customs Union without the ability to leave
·Undermining the integrity of the UK
·The agreement would be overseen by the European Court of Justice, not the UK Supreme Court
It suggests a better alternative would be a Super Canada free trade deal, which would involve taking an existing EU Canada trade agreement signed in 2016 and updating this with additional elements such as a security protocol.
It explains that a Super Canada trade agreement would not involve being in the Single Market or Customs Union and would not leave the UK subject to the authority of the European Court of Justice.

This ERG group for sure is really delusional; I mean they are still chasing unicorns and have no doubt about that they are able to catch them, while the EU has already made crystal clear that there are no such things. They are always demanding, demanding, demanding, but I am sure if they would have to negotiate, they would not do better than May did, on the contrary, even worse.
For example, just this lie:
"We would hand over £39 billion of taxpayer’s money with nothing guaranteed in return."
Wrong. What the UK did get in return for all the years of membership becomes more and more clearly day by day, when you just listen to the economy. The UK benefitted from it greatly. And of course if you leave something and you still got debt, you need to pay it. Also it is a transition period, so still having access to the single market is part of this price tag obviously.
Or this: "The Agreement creates internal borders within the UK."
Well, who again decided to leave the EU? And again a lie, because the final regulation has been delayed, so it is also part again of a transitional period.
