And the video of what actually happened. Viewer discretion is advised, watching the "100 activists" assaulting the guy is hard. You'll have to watch closely, even the victim barely noticed.
Yes, it is a model that has not adapted to changing times. The irony is people in other countries that want to do it can not do so legally.I agree the licence fee made sense when the only TV was the BBC. It's long past it sell by date. Not that the licence fee will alter my vote in any direction.
In general, BBC isn't stopping you or anyone else overseas watching their content because of licence fee issues but because another company -- HBO or whoever -- has the US distribution rights for whatever it is you want to watch.Yes, it is a model that has not adapted to changing times. Sure, there is britbox and it is even cheeper ... but it is more a static library than a stream of live content. The perplexing thing is the beeb already streams their shows, that and their archive would be worth paying for but nope.
The justification for the licence fee is that it enables the BBC to concentrate on quality programming rather than chasing ratings, though frequently the Beeb seem to forget this and go head to head with ITV.I agree the licence fee made sense when the only TV was the BBC. Fake news, according to the Conservatives.Olive Johnson was so afraid of getting caught by a reporter unannounced on live tv that he hid in a walkin fridge.

Boris Johnson hid in a fridge to avoid a television interview as his aide swore at a reporter
Boris Johnson refused to give a live interview to ITV's "Good Morning Britain" with Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid.www.businessinsider.de
Conservative sources subsequently insisted that Johnson was “categorically not hiding” in the fridge, from which Johnson emerged carrying a crate of milk bottles – but instead his aides were taking a moment to prep the PM for a separate, pre-agreed interview.
I guess this is sarcasmSo 24 hours from now all the problems will be resolved at last?
