In the scheme of things, it's but a blip on my do I care radar. But it is a data point. Of a sort.

Amazon Data Centers on Fire After Iranian Missile Strikes on Dubai
Amazon’s cloud services are down in some of the Middle East after “objects” hit data centers in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) causing “sparks and fire.” Around 60 services tied to AWS are down in the region, affecting web traffic in the UAE and Bahrain. The outage comes following Iranian attacks on the UAE as retaliation for US and Israeli strikes on Iran.

Customers in Bahrain and the UAE began to report outages tied to the mec1-az2 and mec1-az3 clusters in AWS’ ME-CENTRAL-1 Region on March 1 after Iranian ballistic missiles and drones struck targets in and around Dubai.

Bush jr. at least believed in god, Trump just believes in himself and money. Big difference. I will take Bush jr. over Trump every time.
Shrub at least maintained some decorum in the Office. At least, when he wasn't vomiting on Japanese prime ministers. Trump and his ilk are below even trailer trash level in decorum.

Trump rebukes Starmer over UK refusal to back strikes on Iran

Speaking to the Sun, Trump compared Starmer’s actions unfavourably with France’s support for the strikes and with the backing of the Nato secretary general, Mark Rutte. “He has not been helpful. I never thought I’d see that. I never thought I’d see that from the UK. We love the UK,” he said.
“It’s a different world, actually. It’s just a much different kind of relationship that we’ve had with your country before. It’s very sad to see that the relationship is obviously not what it was.”

I was 14! ...haha... but yeah... back then my state was actually an important swing state and votes here actually mattered a bit. ....now they don't.
I remember reading a post by someone from Florida who voted Nader in 2000 and said not a day goes by without thinking about that.

Trump's special envoy Steve Witkoff says that in the first round of negotiations with Iran earlier this year “In that first meeting, both the Iranian negotiators said to us directly — with no shame — that they controlled 460 kilograms of 60% [enriched uranium] and that they’re aware that could make 11 nuclear bombs.”

He says that during that first meeting, the Iranian negotiators also boasted having “an inalienable right” to enrich their nuclear fuel.

“We responded that the president feels we have the inalienable right to stop you dead in your tracks,” Witkoff recalls.

Does somebody really believe that the Persians acted so dumb? I doubt it. Lies for the masses.

TIL I am 6-7 years older than you. Kimd of nice to know because sometimes I feel like a baby here next to some of you all, no offense intended to anyone.

Also I voted Perot that election. Or maybe it was Nader. I forget.

LOL, I get it... I often feel like the baby around here too. I suspect I am the youngest regular poster around here by a few years at least.

For my exact age, I was born within like 3 hours of the Challenger exploding.

Military commanders are telling subordinates that the purpose of the Iran war is to provoke the biblical Armeggedon

A combat-unit commander told non-commissioned officers at a briefing Monday that the Iran war is part of God’s plan and that Pres. Donald Trump was “anointed by Jesus to light the signal fire in Iran to cause Armageddon and mark his return to Earth,” according to a complaint by a non-commissioned officer.

From Saturday morning through Monday night, more than 110 similar complaints about commanders in every branch of the military had been logged by the Military Religious Freedom Foundation (MRFF).[/url]

Here is more on that:

US troops report commanders framing Iran war as ‘God’s plan’ —— As first reported by independent journalist Jonathan Larsen, a US combat-unit commander told non-commissioned officers that the war on Iran is part of “God’s divine plan,” allegedly claiming President Donald Trump was “anointed by Jesus” to ignite Armageddon. The complaint, filed with the Military Religious Freedom Foundation, is one of more than 110 logged within 48 hours from over 40 units across at least 30 installations. Complainants, including Christians, a Muslim, and a Jew, have requested anonymity to avoid retaliation. The Pentagon has yet to respond.

According to MRFF President Mikey Weinstein, service members report “unrestricted euphoria” among segments of the chain of command portraying the assault on Iran as biblically sanctioned and tied to end-times prophecy in the Book of Revelation. One NCO wrote that such rhetoric is eroding morale and violating constitutional oaths, particularly for troops in Ready-Support status who could be deployed at any moment.

The controversy unfolds as Secretary of War Pete Hegseth expands overt evangelical programming within the Pentagon, including prayer sessions and Bible studies aligned with staunch pro-Israel theology. Weinstein reports that many US commanders appear particularly enthused by the prospect of an intensely violent confrontation, emphasizing how much bloodshed they believe is necessary to align events with a fundamentalist Christian end-times narrative.

Newest justification bullshit why America went to war: Marco Rubio telling that Israel would have gone into Iran anyway, and if America would have not followed suit it would have caused lots of casualties. Rep. speaker Mike Johnson repeating the same argument.

The reporters then are amazed since when America has lost the power to hold back Israel, since this feels like the tail wagging with the dog.

I ALMOST feel sorry for Rubio... I don't, but almost do. He often seems to have the burden of being the adult who explains away the stupid, childish moves of Trump and the rest of the administration. I don't envy that job, but obviously he still got himself into this.
