The Department of Labor’s (DOL) headquarters banned Labor Secretary Lori Chavez-DeRemer’s husband after two women employed by the department alleged that he sexually assaulted them, The New York Times reported Thursday.

The staffers claimed that Dr. Shawn DeRemer touched them inappropriately inside the department building, with one of the incidents caught on security camera on Dec. 18, people familiar with the incident told the Times. The video shows DeRemer giving a woman an extended embrace, which was reviewed as part of a criminal investigation.

A DOL employee filed a complaint against Labor Secretary Lori Chavez-DeRemer, alleging she abused her office and had an inappropriate relationship with a subordinate, the New York Post reported on Jan. 9. According to documents seen by the Post and its sources, the complaint also alleges that Chavez-DeRemer committed “travel fraud” by going on taxpayer-funded trips to spend time with family and friends.

The complaint, filed last week with the DOL’s Office of Inspector General, according to the Post, alleges the labor secretary invited her subordinate to her hotel room while traveling and to her private DC residence. It also alleges she engaged in other unprofessional behavior, including drinking during official department travel and in her office during work hours.

President Donald Trump told an audience at a steel plant that he toyed with the idea of giving himself the Congressional Medal of Honor back in 2018.

While speaking to a large crowd in Rome, Georgia, on Thursday, the President went on one of his infamous “weaves” about how he was told it would take four years to defeat ISIS during his first term.

“I flew to Iraq. I was extremely brave. So brave I wanted to give myself the Congressional Medal of Honor.

“I said, I said to my people, am I allowed to give myself the Congressional Medal of Honor?... Some day I’m gonna try. I’m gonna test the law,” said the president.

FCC asks stations for "pro-America" programming, like daily Pledge of Allegiance

Brendan Carr wants "patriotic" shows for Trump's yearlong America 250 celebration.

Federal Communications Commission Chairman Brendan Carr today urged broadcasters to join a “Pledge America Campaign” that Carr established to support President Trump’s “Salute to America 250” project.

Carr said in a press release that “I am inviting broadcasters to pledge to air programming in their local markets in support of this historic national, non-partisan celebration.” The press release said Carr is asking broadcasters to “air patriotic, pro-America programming in support of America’s 250th birthday.”

"Pro-America" programming. So almost anything referencing factual, historical information is out.

Carr gave what he called examples of content that broadcasters can run if they take the pledge. His examples include “starting each broadcast day with the ‘Star Spangled Banner’ or Pledge of Allegiance”; airing “PSAs, short segments, or full specials specifically promoting civic education, inspiring local stories, and American history”; running “segments during regular news programming that highlight local sites that are significant to American and regional history, such as National Park Service sites”; airing “music by America’s greatest composers, such as John Philip Sousa, Aaron Copland, Duke Ellington, and George Gershwin”; and providing daily “Today in American History” announcements highlighting significant events from US history.

Sure seems like Carr is trying his best to usher in the end of broadcast television in the States.
