Kinda like Mitch McConnell appearing to have a stroke on stage. Fuck him for a multitude of reasons, but if he’s stroking out I’m calling for medical help and for that instance he is safe from my criticism.
I dunno. If I came upon Trump trapped in a burning building, I'd call 911. Then I'd break out the marshmallows. If that makes me a bad person, so be it.

In a segment with host John Berman, Enten analyzed the polling data around the question, “Do you think the country is on the right track?” Apparently, just 28 percent of Americans think that the United States is currently headed in the right direction under its Democratic leadership.

Enten said that this a problem for Harris, the party’s nominee, given that, on average, this figure sits at 42 percent in years when the incumbent party wins the presidency and just 25 percent when it loses.

“This to me is a bad sign for Kamala Harris’s campaign,” he said. “The bottom line is it looks a lot more like a loser than it does like a winner when it comes to the country being on the right track.”
To my mind, this analysis is very questionable. If someone asked me, "Is the US on the right track?" I'd say no, it's certainly not, precisely because there's a very real danger of Trump winning. But that would mean, had I a vote, I'd be casting it for Kamala Harris because I wanted to avert that catastrophe.

Even her core base is deserting her. In fact every demographic is deserting her, even unmarried women that want to kill their unborn babies at term
Demographics that don't exist are not reliable voters.

It all comes down to.. are you better off now than 4 years ago? Except for the 12 million illegals biden/harris let in, the answer will be no, we are way worse off.

p.s. Has anyone seen my cat?
New York and Florida were using refrigerator trucks as morgues and unemployment was double digits.

That was covid, its release worked just as planned.... It's kinda hard to have a booming economy when everything was shut down on government orders to "flatten the curve" I still have high hopes that Fauci will be executed for crimes against humanity

So boogymen who don't exist? got it. And the original point was that "leftist" isn't just some interchangeable term with "democrat" or "liberal."

as a reminder, the COVID recession was at it's peak while Trump was still in office. The false belief Trump was good for the economy requires you to omit COVID from his record but keep it in Biden's. And yes, the economy actually is much better now than it was in 2020. That is a quantifiable fact. I think what you mean is that the precovid economy Trump inherited from Obama was better. But the fact that the recession started under Trump (not even saying it was his fault) completely refutes the point you're trying to make.

Also, as a reminder, republicans killed the boarder bill just so they could keep complaining about the boarder during election season.

In what specific ways do you find yourself "way worse off" than you were four years ago, and to what do you attribute them?

As a Brit I'd say I'm worse off to the extent that Putin's invasion of Ukraine caused energy prices to spike, and the inflationary pressures caused by increased government spending during the pandemic and the extra consumer spending released after it ended, have forced up inflation, as they have done everywhere else, but that's now pretty much under control. I'd also point to specific issues caused by Brexit and by Liz Truss' short and catastrophic administration, but they're obviously unique to the UK.

Otherwise, I'm still reasonably comfortable with my pension and my freelance earnings.

How about you?

Just for the sake of discussion, let's say COVID was engineered to wreck the economy or some other demonic purpose. It's still a glaring inconsistency in your thinking to believe the very real economic damage is only something that should be blamed on Biden/Harris and not Trump.

I thought you weren't going to do politics here.
