Why do they hate the troops?

This makes me angry beyond my ability to express.

I place it on McConnell’s head. Of course the RWNJs will blame the Dems.

It’s too generous to call the right wing crazy. This is a civil war waged by cowards and led by traitors.

800,000 people not being paid suddenly is going to have a ripple effect. Belts tightened means no eating out, cancelled personal travel, delayed appliance/home/auto purchases.

I desperately hope that everyone whose life or business gets financially derailed by this pointless shutdown remember that Trump proudly claimed credit for it and McConnel and his Congress cronies gladly helped.

Exactly, I have seen restaurants close because they were on tight margins and simply could not afford to have a chunk of their regulars (government employees) not being at work for a week or so.

It seems donnie refuses to say yes. Against what people were urging them to do the Ds gave them money for this boondoggle and the Rs want more.

One of the fun things in the local news was nobody is paying the WH water bill. According to law the utility service here can turn off their water if there is nonpayment for 30 days.

Not paying the coast guard shows that they don't actually care about enforcement of immigration laws and border control. It's entirely about a monument to xenophobia and racism, even if there's no practical benefit.

Non domestic terrorism ranks very low on my list of concerns, behind climate change, safe drinking water, agents of a foreign power dismantling our government, affordable health care, ........ and on all the way down to my safety as a pedestrian in an urban area.

But I can't help but wonder if the jihadi boogeymen are... Amused? Pleased? at our obvious self inflicted damage. Whether they hate us less now for having leaders actively trying to roll back lgbtq+ & women's equality.

They're probably over there laughing their assess off right now, waiting for us to foolishly squander money and labor on the glorified fence, before they resume making use of disgruntled Americans that they've radicalized over the internet.

Which is kind of a shame, because nothing would stop this stupid shutdown faster than an attempted attack from the north, air, sea or over the internet.

>> "I never said there was no collusion between the campaign."

Hopefully soon:

"I never said there was no collusion by the President. President Trump hasn't colluded A LOT. It was just that one time. Or possibly two or three others. AND I'VE BEEN SAYING ALL ALONG COLLUSION ISN'T A CRIME AMIRITE?!"

Trump lawyer Michael Cohen hired IT firm to rig early CNBC, Drudge polls

A few things about this very short piece and its contents. So: here we have the "Chief Information Officer" of Liberty University (You know, the religious one where Jerry Falwell Jr. is President) attempting to rig online polls for Donald Trump and getting paid for it by Michael Cohen. That is so upstanding isn't it? There's also, of course, the fact that religious organizations are not to be involved in political pursuits, but hey we don't seem to uphold that anymore. We should not wonder why the evangelicals or any other supposedly religious people continue to support Trump. Some of them are just as corrupt as him.

Then, there's Michael Cohen, the guy paying off previous said guy. He does not dispute the payoff, merely the method of payment. A reminder here that just because he's squealing now, this guy is not a good guy. He was the architect of the National Enquirer pushing Trump onto the world. Now, you say National Enquirer, who cares about that rag? Well, that rag got seen by everyone in a checkout line as it pushed a certain agenda, or printed lies, your choice.

Edit: A fact I had not noticed. The man was originally supposed to be paid $50K, instead got 13k and a boxing glove. Pure Trump, lol.

Then there's this:

The same people who did the phony election polls, and were so wrong, are now doing approval rating polls. They are rigged just like before.

He'd know, wouldn't he? He is so crooked and corrupt he projects the things that he does onto the rest of the world. That's why now, when I hear him railing about something similar, I know he's been doing it.

It was probably just a troll but I have already seen people on Reddit saying thanks to Schumer and Pelosi for the shutdown for not being willing to talk etc.
