Travis Shook and the Club Wow educated me about rocks almost 50 years ago.

I never knew until looking for this song again that Bruce Springsteen was the opening act for them for a while (not the other way around!), but that is a side note.

I was gifted a plate of homemade meatloaf by a family member over the weekend. Along with a pile of leftover mashed potatoes. Which I just eated in the extremely recent past, along with some frozen broccoli (I didn't eat them frozen, I microwaved them first). It was terrific. Family member had cut big slices from an onion and put those in the loaf. I love onions, and having big slices of an onion mixed with the meatloaf bits as I gnawed on them made me love onions more.

Family member had also dropped some chopped chili peppers into the loaf, so it was a little hot. Hot, but terrific. So I now have a new optional ingredient for my own meatloaf.
