I'm honestly starting to wonder what the EU is doing because Musk's actions are putting Twitter on an obvious collision course with the EU's Digital Services Act, and he seemingly hasn't done anything to comply with the law. I think he confuses the EU with the US government and hopes they'll just let him off the hook because he's "too big to fail" or some shit like that. Providing a platform to Nazis like Carlson is just another nail in his coffin.

He doesn't strike me as anyone who has ever willingly opened a history book (except WW II because it's "cool") or read any newspaper or magazine article on how the world works on a social / political level. He probably thinks he's above it all via the Dunning-Kuger effect.

I don't think that he's suffering from Dunning-Kruger, I mean people who are suffering it have achieved not much normally. Musk on the other hand managed it to become the richest man on earth, so he has some valuable skills for that task at hand regardless whether we like him or not. He's a successful businessman.

His problem might be more the Aspergers syndrome, which means he's reading people differently then normal people do.

He became a successful businessman after his startup money was handed to him on an emerald platter and walked all over the very people he makes his money off of.

Did no one else see the article(s) where his father says yes there was an investment in an emerald mine/emeralds?

I recently read an article explaining the DK effect also affects smart people. I don't remember where I saw it, but the following is somewhat similar. My personal belief it is to some extent an affect of pride & lack of humility as well as people "needing" to believe they are better-than-average. The popular conception of Dunning-Kruger is based on my 2nd statement (the "need"), but we are all familiar with great people failing out of hubris as discussed in this snippet from Healthline and more completely in the linked article following.
Hope I'm not confusing anyone with how I'm using affect/effect (I'm a bit of a word snob).

Healthline: The Dunning-Kruger Effect Explained
Who is affected?
Anyone can be susceptible to the Dunning-Kruger effect. It does not reflect low intelligence, but rather a lack of insight and reflection on our own abilities.

A person who is very knowledgeable in a field but lacks insight into their own performance can easily overestimate or underestimate their own ability.

A 2021 study found that those who scored high on intellectual humility were less likely to overestimate their performance in two tests. Intellectual humility is being able to accept that we may not be right about our ideas and attitudes and being open to questioning and revising them.
Here is the quoted article for the 2021 study.

I'm certain Tucker knows the Russian Orthodox church is full of spies, but is acting like he doesn't. I really wonder what his true motivations are saying this dogshit...
Sex isn't the only thing that sells. Sensation[al]ism sells almost as well.

His motivation is that he sees Putinism (and Orbanism and Erdoganism and Le Pen-ism and Modi-ism)as a natural ally of Trumpism against the woke/homosexual/transgender/feminist/Marxist/Communist/Muslim/Immigrant menace.

Comrade Putin and his cronies have LONG been about trying to gain influence with right-wing nativists/bigots/Trumpists in the US. Portraying themselves as anti-woke gay/trans hating, gun-loving Christians. And they've succeeded to various degrees.
One example, from https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maria_Butina

According to US prosecutors who prosecuted Butina on charges of conspiracy and acting as a foreign agent, her love of guns was a ruse to advance Russia's agenda within the Republican Party.[4] Anders Åslund described Right to Bear Arms as a "front organization with the purpose of infiltrating American groups and forging cooperation with the National Rifle Association of America."[27]

In 2013, she met Republican political operative Paul Erickson in Russia. The two became close, started dating, and eventually moved in together. In 2015, she emailed him a description of a proposed project to influence the Republican Party to be friendlier to Russia, through the NRA.

Apparently Fox News doesn't like Tucker's TweetTV program all that much.

Fox News Wednesday notified Tucker Carlson's lawyers that the former prime-time anchor violated his contract with the network when he launched his own Twitter show on Tuesday, according to a copy of a letter obtained by Axios.

Why it matters: A breach of contract claim sets Fox News up to explore potential legal action against Carlson, a move that would intensify the already thorny public battle between the two parties.

Carlson’s lawyers told Axios that any legal action by Fox would violate his First Amendment rights.
Ooh ooh FIRST AMENDMENT RIGHTS!
