Hundreds of Twitter Inc employees are estimated to have decided to quit the beleaguered social media company following a Thursday deadline from new owner Elon Musk that staffers sign up for "long hours at high intensity," or leave.

Twitter used to have almost 8000 employees, now that number might have been reduced to less than a thousand.

I probably don't need to explain this, but that's catastrophic for Twitter, because it means crucial positions are unfilled. Imagine a car manufacturer like Tesla, with some people assembling the cars, others installing the electric wiring and more people working in the paint-spray line. All of this falls apart if you fire the guy responsible for transporting the parts from one station to another and don't find a replacement. That's what Musk has done here, it's unbelievable.

Right now, Twitter is running on fumes and it's just a matter of time until it falls apart.

I can pretty much attest that Twitter's moderation team is largely or even completely non-existent. I've let loose with some doozies that would have gotten me permabanned in pre-Musk Twitter. It's actually been kinda cathartic!

He is so out of touch with reality. He seems to have thought he could issue his ultimatum and everyone would say Yes Master.

Elon Musk had to appear this Wednesday before court, because Tesla is being sued by Richard J. Tornetta, who says that the company was wrong in awarding Musk his compensation package in 2018, which shareholders approved at the time. Tesla said at the time it could be worth nearly $56 billion, and the net value today is $50.9 billion.

Musk also stated that he never wanted to become CEO anywhere, and that the standard definition of a CEO does not suit him. Which is why he called himself Technoking from Tesla. Musk answered the question if he was sober while creating that label with a reluctant "Yes?"

The outcome of this trial will be real interesting for sure.

Twitter locks staff out of offices until next week

It comes amid reports that large numbers of workers have resigned from the social media platform.

They fired the people whose job it is to transition people out of employment, so they now need a couple days to change passwords, remove key card access and figure out who actually still works there.

Yeah, this is a general problem with electric vehicles - not just cars, but also buses and trains.

The crux is that those batteries are made from highly reactive materials and are supposed to hold large amounts of energy, which essentially turns them into bombs.

Personally, I like living in a place where I can step outside and just board a tram powered via overhead wires.
