If you could travel anywhere in the world to one place only... No worries of money... Where would you go and why?

I'm here in with my love, Fairplay Playfair and her little apartment in Portland, OR. We are both moving permanently to my house in NJ outside Philly when things quiet down with the virus and all.

I can't think of anywhere I want with all of my heart to go to. There are lots of places I'd like to visit though. Fairplay is the one who keeps dreaming of going places - the Netherlands, Ireland among them.

If no worries of money? Seatlle, but only if I got to stay.

It's funny I would love to go to Portland again and not Jersey, spent too much time there for work

Anywhere near a big blue ocean (not the green or muddy color of the Atlantic along the northeastern US coast), with light salty breezes and a little cottage to hang out in.

#1 Bucket list item right there.

My apartment.
Otherwise I would most likely live somewhere else by now.

I totally love the Swiss and Austrian Alps, but I think the excitement would wear off when I would move permanently to one of the places there.
The joy of planning a next trip and acting like a tourist are parts of the positive experiences I guess.

The downsides would come into play with a permanent stay: Always tons of tourists around you and snow in the winter. Every winter, the whole winter.
I wouldn't mind having a vacation home there though.

I really want to go to Norway. It seems pretty there, though I am not sure there are a lot of things to do otherwise.

Bavaria - we left when I was 8 and I'm still homesick [this is assuming I can move with my weird family and all the critters.]

Kewlona, BC in the autumn. It's exquisite and I really miss not being able to just hop in the car and go there for the weekend like used to when I lived in Canada.

I can’t choose. If money were no object, and no environmental consequence, I’d go on a never ending trek around the world in a Westfalia, stopping here and there in out of the way places. Just me and a dog or cat, or both.

And maybe a little plant 🌱

I have a different answer every day.

Today: Machu Picchu, in Peru. With a possible side trip to Huacachina (also in Peru, so I think it counts as 1 place...).

Back to Paris. Lived there a few weeks and barely scratched the surface.

I can't decide between Canada and New Zealand. I've travelled around a fair bit of Europe but not beyond.

Canada covers a lot of territory, literally. It's about the same size as the US though a lot of it is unpopulated and very cold in winter.

I'd trek all over Europe until I got bored, which would probably be never :)

Japan. I lived in northern Japan for three years and absolutely loved it there! The area was mostly rural, so didn't have the hustle and bustle of the bigger cities. I would love to go back, for maybe an extended stay.
