Some impressive fuckwittery here (not the OP, the reply):
It occurs to me thought, that since its been decided a business counts as a person for religious freedom, that now I can go, 'But its against my religion to let people in here without a mask.'Some impressive fuckwittery here (not the OP, the reply):
Probably. I wonder what they're saying if someone said, "Oh, you don't want to overturn it, then?".Using Roe v Wade. No doubt "pro-life", as well.
And in Florida...More about Georgia -- charts that seem to show a sharp decrease in the number of cases in that state are deliberately deceptive -- laughably so.
Only in America is Sunday the day after Thursday
I'm on Best Buy's mailing list because I have bought stuff from them. They emailed me about their re-opening plans. Their "reopening" in Georgia consists of having to get an appointment and wearing a mask in the store. Staff will be wearing masks and gloves. They will do no-contact checkout and wipe down stuff you touched. Previously they were only doing curbside pickup or delivery after you order online. So nowhere near back to "normal".Smart businesses would retool to this reality (maybe offering more nocontact at home services) than try to beat their heads against a wall.
Because there are idiots out there who equate having to wear a mask with being a sheeple bowing to government control, to having their rights and "freedumbs" taken away.I don't get the bruhaha over masks. Let's say there is absolutely no benefit to wearing masks. But, if they give people a small sense of security as they go out to do things like grocery shop or whatever they need to do - then what's the fucking problem?

With any luck, most of them will be culled from the gene pool before too long - preferably before November. Some impressive fuckwittery here (not the OP, the reply):
I support reopening the economy, but I also support doing things like wearing masks, the marks on the floors of the grocery store so you aren't standing too close together in line, limiting the number of people allowed in the store at one time, etc.... And for God's sake wash your hands!Because there are idiots out there who equate having to wear a mask with being a sheeple bowing to government control, to having their rights and "freedumbs" taken away.
For some reason I was reading how polio was/is transmitted, and I was like, "Seriously, WTF? You mean to tell me that polio could have been a big nothing burger if people would have just washed their fucking hands???!!!???"Yes, ma'am!

Right, there is this conception out there that reopening will mean revisiting 2019 procedures and everyone will forget 2020. Nope. Since procedures will have to change to emulate 2019 why even try? A good example is disney. They are doing all sorts of contortions to get stuff partly back to where they were before. Instead they could lean more on animation and their streaming service.I'm on Best Buy's mailing list because I have bought stuff from them. They emailed me about their re-opening plans.
