That's a valid position to hold, however distasteful it may be, but we are left with distasteful choices. Vote with eyes wide open, understand that Trump is shameless and will use any and all scandals to erase the moral high ground. Thus, 2016 all over again.

Thankfully, it's all Trump has left now. He can't even ride on Obama's economic coattails anymore. He's literally got nothing else.

And, this is why I view Reade's rather timely accusation with great suspicion. This assault happened how long ago, and it's just now gaining traction, even though Biden was the Vice President for eight years just recently? No. Biden's behavior can be aptly described as creepy, but I seriously doubt any actual sexual assault happened. The timing of this accusation is just way too convenient.

Twitter has permanently banned prominent anti-Trump brothers Brian and Ed Krassenstein, alleging that two of the biggest stars of #Resistance Twitter had broken the site’s rules about operating fake accounts and purchasing fake interactions with their accounts.

They do if they have to. I'm guessing they irked some prominent conservative.

But atm the Krass bros are getting around the ban by having "Brian's wife" do their tweeting, and their facebook posts are mostly pictures of "her" tweets. Her tweets looked like astroturfing to me, which is the only reason I looked into them. I had no clue who they were prior to that.

I'm very uncomfortable with this kind of allegation, made 27 years after the alleged assault is said to have taken place and when it's impossible properly to test the allegations in court, and Biden's answers to them, between now and November.

Certainly, there are all sorts of reasons why a complainant in a sexual abuse case might not make an immediate complaint, and nothing should be read into any delays, but the defence would certainly be entitled to ask why she's chosen to come forward only now, and why, in the past, she'd been a vocal public supporter of a man she now said sexually assaulted her, since that obviously goes to the credibility of her complaint.

As it is, there doesn't seem anything that can properly be done to resolve the matter -- Biden denies it and there's no way the allegations can be examined by an impartial court before the election, so I don't see how the matter can be taken any further.

"krass" is German for crass, awesome, extreme, gross - and "Stein" is just stone - so something like "awesome stone". Interesting combination.

Anyway when banning the Krassensteins they also need to ban Trump, because Trump breaks the rules several times a day.

Just about everything that has been said about Tara Reade applies to Christine Blasey Ford, except that there is much more contemporaneous evidence, multiple people who recall her telling them about it at or near the time, including a veiled call to Larry King Live by her late mother. But Democrats were far more eager to adjudicate that because the target was a Republican.

And Al Franken was pushed out of the Senate for far less.

Back to the Biden accusations, at this point I'm still planning on voting for him - and depending on who his VP candidate is, this will either be with more or less enthusiasm. But I cannot take 4 more years of -that- being nominally in charge. I'd rather elect a cat or dog.

I've been hesitant to speak about this, because yes - women should be listened to and there are reasons women wait for even decades to speak. But, that doesn't mean that every account is always truthful. This has struck me as off from the first time I read about it for a few reasons. Besides just the timing, the account of what happened has changed several times. Secondly, every time we see issues like this, other women come forward with similar stories. They aren't doing that with her. Yes, Biden has a creepy touching problem, but all the other women that talked about that said it never went past that - and specifically said it wasn't sexual assault. But, there should be a long and storied history of him doing this to others after so many years. He was the VP - it would have come out, especially in the pre-Trump years when stuff like that was instantly career ending. He could be a very rare person that only does this once, but combined with the shifting story it just smells to me.

Why didn't the DNC and the media air out this story before the entire Democratic power structure lined up to support Biden and make this a game of roulette against Trump and a woman with a sexual assault claim?

There was a grocery list of candidates to choose from and most of the people here liked someone else better than Joe Biden. Why were we lead to such a dirty choice when it never had to be this way? The Russians or whoever are certainly spamming it all over the place. I just saw someone spam one of George Takei's tweets with it that wasn't even political.
And I'd like to know where were all these "I believe Tara" people for E. Jean Carroll? Or any of 45's other accusers? I wouldn't be surprised if some of them were smoking the loves attacking her instead of calling him out.
