I'm not sure what you're trying to say. Schiff, as a former prosecutor, knows EXACTLY what he's doing. But what exactly has changed since the Impeachment trial that indicates the Senate Repubs would let the next one slip past? McConnell and other R's are already screaming that Dems want "another Impeachment".

Damned right we do. If we can't do it before November, then we have to kick Trump out of office and let SDNY and a new DOJ take him to the woodshed in January (this is exactly what Trump is most afraid of). If we lose in November, then yeh we can indict and impeach him as many times as we want. There are no statutes of limitation on impeachment. If I were giving Schiff et al any advice, it would be to ignore the squeals of indignation and stop being "conservative" about the charges you're building. Throw the book at him and screw his 40% (optimistic) support.

In view of all the baloney that spews from DT's mouth every day, I don't think this is the hill to die on. But I also would never expect any Dems to be quiet when the R's are flooding the channel with unadulterated bullshit.
It is a big mistake to underestimate your opponent. I demand the best from the Democrats but am reasonably sure of not getting it. That's depressing.

If the best happens (Biden gets elected; Dem's control House and Senate), I'd say the leader of the Free World will still be Angela Merkel, at least until she retires from the job in the fall of 2021.

Schiff disappointed in two ways.

Besides being factually inaccurate, his closing comments in that MSNBC video put him in the perverse position of rooting for hydroxychloroquine to fail. Why should he want a potential therapeutic drug for COVID19 to fail? Because he has committed to that as a way to show up Trump. That's kind of a Trumpian viewpoint itself! He has shit up his nose.

As Andrew Cuomo remarked in one of his briefings, "I think it would be unnatural not to hope that it works."

I used to come on SLUniverse to the political forums and stir up all the liberals, I had a different screen name then I bet you wished you knew what it was.
Thankfully, I don't need to know your SLU username to put you on ignore. Buh-bye now!

Dude was full of some classic abuser shit, no? :D Other forum spaces I’m in have had some blasts from the past like nostrildude there as the Orange Foolius has lost more of his grip. How much is COVID boredom and how much is insecurity, we may never know.

What is this thing about haircuts after only a month or so? Does their hair grow that fast? It has been years since I went to a hairdresser and when I was a kid my mom did it.

Thoughtful bi-partisan analysis of the various strategies for ending lockdown by a senior British Conservative MP

It's based on a paper by Harvard University's Safra Center for Ethics, so it's relevant to the US too, and elsewhere, of course.

Tl;dr -- the debate is far more serious and complex than simple "reopen the economy now" vs "stay locked down until there's a vaccine."

The least that these protesters could do, at least here in the States, but probably there as well is NOT come to the assorted capitols/major cities to hold their little protests in front of Governor/Mayor's offices. They are often from suburban/rural areas and come bring their little potential Typhoid Mary selves into the city, as if the cities haven't already been harder hit and need them to spread it about some more.

Anyone remember Terri Schiavo?
I do. The party of forced birth, forced life even in a vegetative state and death panels doesn't seem to mind and some among them even ask grandma/grandpa alongside majority lower class "essential" workers to take one for the team, or more specifically, their portfolio sure isn't consistent, now is it?
