When the Epstein Files are released...

What will you do when the Epstein Files are finally released?

  • I'm gonna party like it's 3998 (1999 x 2)

  • Nothing (because it''ll NEVER happen)

  • Prepare for the mega-rioting to come

  • Take that long overdue stress nap

  • "I will diminish, and go into the West and remain Galadriel."

  • Consume way too much pie and whiskey

Tell us about Keir Stürmer and his buddy Mandelson. If the Epstein files are released proper, Stürmer and Labour Friends of Israel are going down.

So, I am curious, do other countries have full copies of these files? Or just the USAssholes?

I don't know, but Greece certainly has its own version of the Epstein scandal, as various buddies of the Israel-aligned PM are known child traffickers and / or child rapists: Nikos Georgiadis, Dimitris Lignadis, Ilias Michos, and so on.

Just the US Justice Dept, I think. Law enforcement in other countries can request copies, but it's up to the US government and its agreements with the particular country what happens to the request. Law enforcement in the UK are complaining that, unusually for this kind of investigation, the US is not fast-tracking their requests but, rather, insisting following the full, formal, process involving multiple court hearings at both ends.

I'd bet money the Trump administration is not releasing unredacted files to anyone.... that could go badly for him. If this case didn't involve him so heavily, then it would probably be much easier for other countries to just ask for them as you said.

I would think, though, that the UK authorities have requested only files related to Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and his relationship with Epstein. If there are some files that involve both Trump and Mountbatten-Windsor, then I can see the problem, but the British police are interested in what the files reveal about Mountbatten-Windsor, not about Trump or any other US citizen (unless they were committing crimes in the UK).

Reminder: if the Epstein files are properly released, Keir Stürmer will also face jail time. So will Labour Friends of Israel.

Yeah I wish some other country with access would just say YOLO and release the whole thing.
The only country with access is the US. Other jurisdictions can only request copies of files under specific data-sharing agreements.

New Mexico’s Epstein commission announces 9 more subpoenas to federal prosecutors, state agencies
A New Mexico legislative subcommittee tasked with investigating the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein’s time in the state on Thursday announced it would issue nine more subpoenas to federal and state government agencies, less than a week after it publicly published its first batch of subpoenas.

The state House investigatory subcommittee, known as the Truth Commission, late last week posted the first six subpoenas it issued as part of its investigation into Epstein and the New Mexico property he formerly owned, Zorro Ranch, on its website, NMTruthCommission.com.

Katie Phang's efforts are possibly paying off.

Judge orders DOJ to produce, unredact sought after Epstein files
On Thursday, a federal judge based in Washington, D.C., ordered the Justice Department to unredact additional pages of the Epstein files in a suit brought by attorney and independent journalist Katie Phang.

The preliminary injunction orders redactions be removed in key documents of interest in the files, including “at least eight email exchanges with Mr. Epstein regarding a ‘torture video’ and sexual activity with young women, including minors” as well as interviews with a woman who said she was abused by President Trump as a minor.
“The Attorney General’s arguments are unpersuasive. First, Ms. Phang has identified ‘some concrete consequences of not receiving the information.’ She has identified ‘half a dozen stories she is currently unable to report’ because the Attorney General has not disclosed the information,” U.S. District Judge Emmet Sullivan wrote in a decision that also found Phang had a right to bring the case under the Administrative Procedures Act.

He also rebuffed the idea that Phang could have simply requested the documents through the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), noting that the department itself had previously said the Epstein Files Transparency Act “directed a much broader and less redacted release of the files than would have been made under the FOIA. Certain exemptions which may have been made under FOIA were not made” in the Epstein Act release.

More on Katie Phang's case:

Here’s the part nobody in Washington wants to say out loud: Katie Phang just did the work that every elected official in the United States refused to do.

Congress passed the law and then walked away. The House didn’t subpoena. The Senate didn’t hold hearings with teeth. The bipartisan co-authors of the very statute DOJ was violating couldn’t even get a federal judge in the Maxwell case to lift a finger — and then they didn’t file the civil suit themselves either. Not one senator. Not one congressman. Not one state attorney general. Not one of the dozens of officials who went on television to express their deep concern about the Epstein files actually walked into a courthouse and forced the government to obey a law they had voted for.
A journalist did. With her own name on the complaint. Against the sitting Attorney General. On a novel legal theory. And she won.

If that isn’t an indictment of the entire political establishment of the United States of America — Republican and Democrat, House and Senate, executive and legislative — I genuinely don’t know what is. The machinery built to hold power accountable sat idle for seven months. A private citizen with a law degree and a Substack picked up the tools and did it herself.
