Ima happy with what I have already mostly, but if someone wanted to try to entice some new folks to try Premium...

Auto downgrade - NO LOCKING ACCOUNTS - like duh? srsly? You tryin' to entice customers, not scare them.

.
Thats why I've never gone premium - if I mess up or my credit card gets refused etc ...Im locked out - way too scarey

That's one of the reasons for me as well. At least with a basic, I can walk away for a few months or so, and my account will still be there when I get back.

Yup! Is why one of the other me's is the Premium. Sure she gets all ... "look at me! I have premium access", but then Ima like .. "I got way more clothes and rocket launchers".

That process needs to be streamlined if you have to file a ticket for it.
Ya. I kinda skipped the drama details, some long rambling thread on the other site. Almost put me to sleep like when I take allergy meds.. but anyway... short answer is .. Barely anyone does it, so they dinna spend the $$$ to automate it. Is okay though, spend money fixing other stuffs. But.... I don't think it would be .. that ... hard to make Ad and post it on the blog. Well Maybe it is? Windows deprecated Paint, right?

Oh, I have one.

The ability to buy more prim capacity for existing land. I don't really need more space and don't want to pay an arm and a leg to someone for 100m but I would pay a few bucks more per month the for more prims.
I second that or just them finishing the doubled prim rollout as they stopped for most mainland. To be fair I second anything with land as would love to be able to connect my own server (either build my own or connect the one I rent as it is unlimited besides unique user limit which is in thousands) and host a roleplay game. Currently, I have TWO premium accounts with 4096 on each and that is ... 10 times more than I pay for the unlimited server and quite few domains but the cost of renting a sim would be only bit cheaper so ... it is what it is and I am the fool here :| . Beyond land - I do not see anything that could be enticing since free uploads would just turn SL more into Forever Alone Shopping Spree than it already is. Market changed and big business went away long time ago - besides land barons, it is all about private users nowadays who do not have any incentive to create fun places (all I see are gone within a month).

offline inventory management would be nice.
I would definitely go premium for access to a portal that let me do this! Sort, delete, copy copiable things, make folders ... oh yes.

While we're dreaming, it would be nice if this portal also allowed me to pay people.

AND, it would be ULTRA-NICE if I could specify a group of alts who automatically share all copy/trans items I own. Including, of course, everything I've made.

Simplify the landholding system. Just let me buy a 1024 or 4096 or whatever on general, mature or adult land without having to deal with auctions, carve up parcels, juggle weird tier pricing or handle fiddly shaped bits of land.

Maybe we'll see Linden Homes on 1024 parcels soon, that would be a temptation to get another premium account. Oh, and make Linden Homes modify, that would be a bonus.

Oh, and that pony.

YUP!

3) Subsidized Mainland -- option C) Is like Linden Homes with no Home and a small fee and no resident to resident land transaction
Is not Free land, and you didn't get to pick the place. so is kinda a compromise solution between a Linden Home and Mainland, but can get people on some land.

I’m already premium (I can’t give up my Bay City buy-in) so I am easier to please.

But my most wanted feature is gridwide experiences to be freely available as part of premium membership.

Not sure if LL will do that or not.

Since the homes are rooted on Linden Part, so they don't count on 'your' LI -- would be a scripted solution.
Now they 'COULD' put them in rezzers like Horizions... But.

Then you would get a Linden Home situation that would be instead of semi-optimized sameness, your new neighbors could do the..
1) not rez a provided house
2) build their 'Boo-utiful' full bright, animated texture, particle spouting Pup Tents. :p

So that is why a bang on the 'Make a Subsidized Mainland' thing. With it having not all the options / risk of Mainland, but more freedom than Linden Homes.

I'm not fond of Mainland. So why would I become a premium member?
I always lease from a long standing land baron when I need a SL shot and they've always sorted out my (very rare) SL problems.
Never needed LL customer support in all these years.
I have two premium accounts. One at the 500 L stipend level so basically LL is paying me to have my account (every once in awhile I just donate a few thou somewhere, it is not like I need more stuff all the time). Basically the decision is "mainland or not mainland". I wish they would realize this and allow you to swap your mainland tier for something else worth just as much, like rent of the same value paid to someone.

If only there was someway to make tweaks to the Linden Homes.

Z at something even like 30.2 instead of 30.168136584
Be able to leave the doors open
Change textures of the edges of wall segments so you don't see those annoying shining lines where walls meet
etc.

Or if we could tweak anything that's been released by Linden recently, anyway. The premium gifts in particular are no-mod. Sometimes I'd just like to change the colour or the size a notch, or add a pose, and it'd be perfect... but I can't. So it stays in my inventory. :(

Way back when they were introduced, those [homesteads] were available fairly cheaply and standalone but that got clamped down on fast because it really accelerated the emptying of the mainland as people jumped on the chance to have their own private humper bunkers.
The homestead rush also caused a serious support issue both in distributing the sims and addressing related tickets. There were too many homestead owners and, particularly, too many of them trying to rent subdivisions of homesteads to unsuspecting newbies that didn't understand the limitations. LL is better served limiting their direct support to fewer land barons that can then deal with the larger population of residents.

Yes LL is better served, sure, but are the SL customers?

Land in Second Life is virtual, not real. It's 1's and 0's. Make it so if I use my premium account to own mainland, I could easily relocate if I want to. Rather than getting someone to buy my land first, or taking the hit on abandoning it, allow me to simply turn my land into a land credit which can then be applied to any unowned land anywhere on the mainland.

Laggy sim? Relocate! Bad neighbors? Relocate! Want to create a community with a group of friends and like-minded associates? DO IT!

This would not only make Premium accounts a better deal, but would make it a lot easier for communities to be formed. Something that is not really feasible currently. Since it would be easier to find neighbors you like rather than those you tolerate and avoid, the mainland would be less of a wasteland of skyboxes and ugly walls, making land ownership more attractive as well.
