McDonald’s Welcomes CosMc’s to its Universe

It's basically a space-themed beverage shop, named for an alien McDonald's character, that is a spin-off of McDonald's (and also serves some McD's products.)

I think it's interesting for the name and theme alone, but food and drink wise, I think the market is kinda saturated....

No, it won't. Taylor has a sweetheart deal with McDonalds that perpetually screws franchisees.

At least McDonald's coffee is good. It'd make a good base for some specialty coffee drinks.

It's likely an attempt to draw in the Starbucks crowd who would never stop in at McDonald's for a coffee (or anything, in fact). Being the case, they should have gone with a name that didn't callback to McDonald's at all.

Since they have removed everything I buy - salads, grilled chicken, oatmeal, pastries - and they've jacked the price of soft serve to incredible levels - why bother? I'll still get diet coke from them because they serve it "just right", but I may as well go grocery shopping and make my own.

Well actually you are not the only American I do hear complaining about price increases at McDonald's. A while ago I saw one who complained that back in the good old day the golden arches was the place to go when you wanted to have a good enough but also affordable (cheap enough) burger or another meal for a lot of people. But this time is now long gone, so he doesn't bother going there any longer.

McDs is so expensive that if I want a burger and fries meal I go the the local chain instead. Its several dollars cheaper for the total.and tastier.

All fast food honestly.

My only complaint there is its stupid popular so if you go for lunch there is always an enormous line.

have you tried going during breakfast? I did it the other day cause i haven't done so in a while and i was in shock. do people even cook anymore? Even with the bigger price, lines even longer then lunch... so not surprised they are trying this.

cheaper for me to go to a Local cuban cafe... get fully loaded for half the price..

I don't eat out for breakfast much but usually go to Burger King because you can eat pretty cheap there.

Also I have been making homemade "Sausage McMuffins" for decades now. I much prefer them.

Not enough to wait four hours in line to get a cup of coffee ...

I saw on the news where people in Chicago were waiting like four hours in a line to get coffee.

I read it cos-max which, in retrospect, isn't so hard to say. It is a goofy name for a drive though coffee shop though. It can just be Mc's, pronounced max, and the byline can be "have you had your max today!?"

Well that gives me confidence in this.

I went and ordered a Hot Mocha at McDs, something I have not done in a while, because usually Indrink Ice Coffee.

And they served in a regular plastic cup with a straw.

Like yo, I am not drinking my hot coffee with a straw and this cup pf hot liquid is really flimsy.
