This song gets stuck in my head from time to time, and when it does, I can't tell if my brain wants to play a racing game like Burnout Paradise, or if subconsciously, I'm feeling a bit nihilistic. I think this time, seeing Biden's loving eulogy for Powell was enough to push me over the edge to nihilism. I think I'll spend the evening watching some 24 hour news and laughing as the country falls apart, because fuck it, what else is there? Maybe I need a pet marmot or something.

Why is the BeOS logo all that's shown on this video? Because the members of The Cotton Squares, the "band" behind this song, were all involved with the development of the Be operating system, which was nearly a big thing.



It's certainly the first song to include the lyric "You may never find love down a T1 line ." That's got to be important.

I actually prefer the acoustic or unplugged version of the song.
