I'm posting this here rather than in the Iran thread because it's about a systemic problem, not just Iran.

Basically, Trump/Iran is just the US version of Putin/Ukraine

So Russian losses are much, much higher.

Yeah, I see some similarity in that they were both so unnecessary and poorly advised, but there are some key differences:

Putin is trying to 100% annex and subjugate Ukraine. Meanwhile Trump is... I'm not actually sure what his real goal is. I don't think he wants to do a full regime change. He's trying to... I guess cement his denial of the fact that Obama's deal with them was working just fine? Maybe just trying to generate cash flow for defense contractors and suppliers?

Putin is also suffering very heavy losses and totally wrecking their economy. USA casualties are much lighter due to lack of a land invasion as Bartholomew pointed out. It's still a costly mess though.

They've both of them involved their countries in unnecessary wars of choice that they thought would be walkovers and are now turning into military disasters from which they can't extricate themselves.

They should invite Stormy Daniels as an expert commentator on the topic.

But I wouldn't be surprised if Harp is actually the one who has to clean him up whenever there's an accident in Trump's pants and his diaper needs changing. Trump is the kind of creature who'd make a woman do that for him. Has anyone ever seen her with a garden hose?

She reminds me of a cross between Hope Hicks and Ivanka. She wears the "young" hemlines like Hicks did as well.

Oh you could compare her to any of the current breed of right-wing MAGA women and would find a great deal of similarities: relatively young, reasonably attractive, probably blonde, moderate talent, but nothing that makes them stand out in particular. The butt wash lady's main accomplishment before she joined Trump's inner circle was that she didn't die from cancer - which is alright, but in a CV, you'd expect it to be followed by something other than "and then I went on to become Donald Trump's human printer and ass wiper".

I do not intend to denigrate actual nurses or other healthcare professionals btw.

If anything, it's the conduct of this administration that shows how little respect they have for women and trained professionals if they really did put that random woman in this line of work. It's just further confirmation of what Republicans think where a woman's place should be.
