Him trashing all of our international and trade agreements is probably the most important thing he's done relative to how much mainstream coverage it gets. ...it gets some coverage, but not enough. If he was going to murder our economy on purpose, this is how to do it.

Here's the scary part for the US: Canada doesn't forget and in all likelihood will _not_ be back. That part of the article about Canada's trade surplus? That from selling to countries other than the US, goods that the US _used_ to buy. Once all of Saskatchewan's potash is spoken for being sold to other countries, the US won't be able to buy any at any price.

When Coca-Cola closed a plant in Newfoundland in 1992, Newfies started boycotting Coke products. That boycott is still going on:

We are generally polite, helpful and reasonable, but push comes to shove, we will not cater to nor back down from lying, gaslighting, inhumane, cruel, (did I say lying?) bullies. There's a special place in hell for those critter types.

Canada is actively increasing its economic ties with the EU at the moment. Finally French Canadians are feeling heared, or something.

Anyway you can expect this to be a long lasting effort.

Who could have foreseen this? :hellokitty:

Algae resurfaces in reflecting pool after multimillion-dollar fixes
The newly renovated Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool seems unable to escape an old scourge: algae blooming in the shallow water.

Thin layers of algae floated on the World War II Memorial side of the pool Friday morning, even after workers were seen cleaning out algae from the bottom of the pool Wednesday.
The reflecting pool construction project started in April and work was completed last week as part of President Donald Trump’s sprawling plan to spruce up the capital ahead of the nation’s 250th anniversary. The president has characterized the century-old pool as “filthy” and “dirty,” claiming that the pool would look “far more beautiful, more beautiful than it did in 1922” upon renovation.
