Assuming this is true - I can't fathom how low his supporters' self-respect must be if they actually go and take his polls or donate to him after getting an email like this. If an organization I fully supported with all my heart and soul ever sent me an email talking to me this way I would drop them so fast you'd think they were a slice of toast I just finished buttering.

You forget to factor in just how absolutely idiotic and gullible his base are - there truly are people out there that would agree with the statement and actually give him more money.

The boilerplate isn't new, except the "Are you an illegal!?" part. But the rest has been blasted around for years by every anonymous right-wing phishing/scam shop. My mom gets a dozen a day of that kind of "You're a top {something} but we haven't heard from you, this is your LAST CHANCE to.. (pay/respond/recruit a friend/take a 'survey'/provide more exploitable personal information)."

Either way, rogue operation or directly authorized to communicate on behalf of President Shitzinpants... it's all grift.

His lawyers will have to when the eventual challenges are brought in court. At present the US courts, or at least some of them, are the only part of the US' so-called checks and balances that is still trying to function.
