All countries gave in to Trump's constant bullying by agreeing to invest 5% of the national GDP up to 2035. A number, which Trump just made up by rolling dice probably.

Just for reference: for Germany, which agreed to this target, this would skyrocket the military budget from around 90 bn. Euros to 215 bn. Euros. This is about 42% of the yearly federal budget at the moment. This going to be funny, this will be a massive arms build-up of Germany, which most neighbors now will do approve.

Only Spain dared to deviate, so Trump theatened it with tariffs.

Probably it's a good time to rearm, and then throw the US out of NATO. Such behaviour is unacceptable.

WASHINGTON – U.S. President Donald Trump on Saturday dramatically expanded his attacks on the State of Israel over Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's ongoing criminal corruption trial, implicitly warning that the $3.8 billion in annual U.S. military assistance to Israel may be compromised unless the charges are dismissed.

While Trump's Truth Social post earlier this week marked an unprecedented intervention from a U.S. president into a foreign democratic ally's judicial proceedings, his broaching of U.S. military aid – long considered an "unbreakable" tenet of the bilateral relationship – brings his criticism into truly uncharted waters.

Not sure if he's -- understandably enough -- doubly opposed to the idea that his friends and heads of government should be subject to the criminal law, or if someone has explained to him that Netanyahu is using Gaza as distraction from his domestic legal problems but, as Ha'artz says, by threatening to withhold US military aid to Israel, he's inadvertently opened up the possibility of this, or more likely a subsequent, US administration withholding aid to Israel for other, less corrupt, reasons too.
