You know what's really starting to get annoying with this second term.

And I am not sure how to exactly describe it.

Like, a lot of discussion has these people who are essentially, like, just waking up, to how awful these people are.

And they are pushing these sort of, middle ground, wait and see, we can always fix it later rhetoric, that a lot of us, who are very alarmed, were sort of pushing in the first term.

Like, these people would not be wrong, if this were Trump 1.

But it's not.

It's well beyond, and it's the same shit WE were pushing that was not effective, during Trump 1.

If that makes sense.

It's basically like, no, stop with this "benefit of the doubt" shit. The time for that passes 5 years ago. You are way late to this party and you have no idea what you are talking about because we already went over that ground.

That sort of thing.

Telling Americans where their costs are coming from is a "hostile and political act." I see...

Trump complained to Bezos before Amazon said it scrapped idea to display tariff cost
The White House on Tuesday slammed Amazon for reportedly planning to display the cost of President Donald Trump’s tariffs next to the total price of products on its site.

“This is a hostile and political act by Amazon,” White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt told reporters.
Less than two hours after the press briefing, an Amazon spokesperson told CNBC that the company was only ever considering listing tariff charges on some products for Amazon Haul, its budget-focused shopping section.

“The team that runs our ultra low cost Amazon Haul store has considered listing import charges on certain products,” the spokesperson said. “This was never a consideration for the main Amazon site and nothing has been implemented on any Amazon properties.”

But in a follow-up statement an hour after that one, the spokesperson clarified that the plan to show tariff surcharges was “never approved” and is “not going to happen.”
Having the President call Bezos about price tags. Just amazing.

"Wait and see! Don't you remember that big freak out about bleach, ivermectin, anti-mask protestors blocking roads around emergency rooms... doesn't that all seem trivial now? All your concerns right now are gonna be nothing in a few years, trust us. Just stick with it. You'll have MUUUCH BIGGER things to complain about real soon now and today's will seem like nothing" /s

This is a real actual tweet from Lindsey "Head So Far Up Trump's Ass You Can't See His Feet Anymore" Graham:

I was excited to hear that President Trump is open to the idea of being the next Pope. This would truly be a dark horse candidate, but I would ask the papal conclave and Catholic faithful to keep an open mind about this possibility! The first Pope-U.S. President combination has many upsides. Watching for white smoke…. Trump MMXXVIII!

And just like that, the already far subterranean bar has been lowered to an even deeper infernal depth beyond my most pessimistic expectations.

Why expend effort imagining what Pope Indictus 1 might sound like, when ChatGPT can do it for us:

Folks, today, I’m going to say a very, very special prayer. A tremendous prayer. Probably the best prayer ever said—many people are saying this. It’s called “The Lord’s Prayer,” but frankly, I think we can upgrade it. You know, make it more luxurious. More... successful.

Our Father—who is in Mar-a-Lago, or Heaven, probably both...
Hallowed be thy name—like mine. Very hallowed. Some say the most hallowed.
Thy kingdom come—just not in New Jersey, nobody wants that.
Thy will be done—unless it’s the Deep State’s will, then we’ll have to recount.
On Earth as it is in Florida—beautiful, clean, so many retirees.

Give us this day our daily burger—double patty, no lettuce, that’s for losers.
And forgive us our debts—especially the ones I don’t technically have. Just ask my accountants. Wonderful people.
As we forgive those who fact-check against us—fake news! Crooked CNN!
And lead us not into temptation—unless it’s a golf course with my name on it. In which case, very tempting. Believe me.
But deliver us from subpoenas.

For thine is the kingdom—and the ratings, and the polls, forever and ever—unless I run again. In which case, I’ll be taking it back. Bigly.

Amen. Or, as I like to say... A-MAGA.

And now an announcement to the American children from the Oval Office...

This reminds me so about this photo montage from 1935 in Germany. It says "Hooray, butter is out of the shelves!" The reason behind it was that Goering held a speech were he told: steel always made an empire strong, but butter and grease made the people fat at best. So this is why they are eating steel.

Just bear in mind, no matter how bad any departing appointee may be, their replacement will be worse.
At the bottom of the barrel is the top of another, even lower barrel.

It's barrels all the way down.

They know it's going to be bad. They really don't give a shit.

Spooked by Trade Wars, Trump Officials Hoard Supplies: ‘It Would Be Stupid Not To!’ (archive.today)
Donald Trump’s trade wars with China and other nations are widely expected to cause sharp economic pain, but some experts have warned consumers not to hoard supplies and goods before prices skyrocket, arguing that mass stockpiling could backfire spectacularly.
Well, many Americans aren’t listening to that advice, according to survey data this year, instead preparing for the possibility of store shelves being bare amid a Trump-inflicted recession. Funnily enough, this includes a number of government officials and staffers working directly for the man who launched these massive new trade wars, all on the grounds of bad tariff math and the flimsy premise that he would bring economic “liberation” to America and make the country “wealthy
again.”

Two Trump administration officials and a Trump aide tell Rolling Stone that they have done some stockpiling of their own in recent weeks or months, and that they know others working in Republican politics — inside and outside of the administration — who are doing the same. One of the Trump officials says they have already run to Target to bulk-buy toilet paper, some types of food, and other household supplies.

Mrs. Beebo and I worked our way through the aisles of CVS yesterday, buying extra vitamins, aspirin, body soap, shampoo, Qtips, and sugar-free candy. This was after she had already been to Lowe's and Martins grocery store buying extras of everything. I've lost count of how many tubs of coffee are in the pantry (Mrs. Beebo runs on caffeine and I shudder at the thought of what will happen when it does finally run out). Kleenex, toilet paper, Gatorade, dried fruit/nuts.

Hey, none of this stuff will go bad. Worst case scenario, we have a lifetime supply of dental floss.
