The shitholes Republicans of Minnesota have introduced a bill to identify a new mental illness: Trump Derangement Symptom.

They for sure want to piss off Tim Waltz.

I want an SNL parody drug commercial now.

Like, classic drug commercial style. "Do you feel irritated? Are you getting irrational at the thought of a failed businessman and multi felon ruining the country, then you might have... TDS..."

Then a fake drug to cure it. Something punny and dumb that sounds like a drug name.

Basically, lean into actual problems, but make it "serious" that if you are upset about these things that you should set, it might be TDS.

Then the disclaimer blurb can be things like, "Side effects may include hatred of marginalized people, dillusions about the rapture."

Anyway, SNL, workshop it, with your proper writers.

Don't worry, researchers will flee to science friendly countries and continue their work. Of course, that which they discover may not become available as a treatment in Trumpistan but the rest of us will benefit.

2009?

I know this POS is an evil horrible person. But I almost feel bad. Absolutely zero people around him, including his own family give a shit about his mental health. Like I know the empathy is probably misplaced but if I posted shit like this on social media even my exes would be like "Maybe we should go check on him?"

CAPTAIN CAPSLOCK RANTS AGAIN!

Trump must be really pissed off... that he's still not officially the first American king, or something.

The doctrine that judges should be guided not by the law as they find it but by the will of the people, as interpreted by the people's leader(s), comes from Nazi and Soviet jurisprudence. I asked ChatGPT for a quick summary (I used to know all this stuff but that was many, many years ago)

The Nazi doctrine that judges should be guided not by the written law but by the "will of the people" as interpreted by the Führer was a fundamental aspect of the Nazi legal system. This principle was part of a broader effort to replace the rule of law with the rule of ideology, ensuring that all state institutions, including the judiciary, served the interests of the regime.

Key Aspects of Nazi Judicial Doctrine

  1. Führerprinzip and the "Will of the People"
    • Nazi legal theory rejected the idea of an independent judiciary bound by statutes and legal precedents.
    • Instead, it embraced the Führerprinzip (Leader Principle), which held that all authority emanated from Adolf Hitler.
    • Judges were expected to base their decisions on what was presumed to be the "will of the people," which in practice meant the will of Hitler and the Nazi Party.
  2. Carl Schmitt and the "Decisionist" Approach to Law
    • The legal philosopher Carl Schmitt was a key intellectual behind this doctrine.
    • He argued that legal authority should rest on the ability to make decisive judgments in the interests of the state, rather than on abstract legal principles.
    • Schmitt justified the idea that the Führer’s decisions had the force of law, famously stating: "Der Führer schützt das Recht" ("The Führer protects the law").
  3. Subversion of Judicial Independence
    • Judges were no longer neutral interpreters of the law but instruments of Nazi policy.
    • The judiciary was expected to deliver verdicts that aligned with Nazi ideology, even if it meant ignoring established legal principles.
    • The Reich Minister of Justice, Franz Gürtner (1933–1941), and later Otto Thierack (1942–1945), ensured that courts followed party directives.
  4. People’s Court (Volksgerichtshof) and Political Trials
    • The most notorious manifestation of this doctrine was the Volksgerichtshof (People’s Court), established in 1934.
    • Led by judges like Roland Freisler, this court was notorious for show trials, particularly against those accused of treason, such as the conspirators of the 20 July 1944 assassination attempt on Hitler.
    • It handed out thousands of death sentences, often based on ideological rather than legal considerations.
  5. Impact on Legal Doctrine
    • The principle of nullum crimen sine lege (no crime without a law) was eroded; actions could be criminalized retroactively if they were deemed contrary to the Nazi worldview.
    • The judiciary was encouraged to use Gesundes Volksempfinden ("healthy popular sentiment") as a legal criterion, allowing arbitrary and brutal punishments.
    • Laws were often vaguely worded to give judges broad discretion to interpret them in a Nazi-friendly manner.
Consequences and Legacy

  • This doctrine effectively abolished the rule of law in Nazi Germany, making the legal system an instrument of state terror.
  • After the war, the Nuremberg Trials exposed how deeply the judiciary had been complicit in Nazi crimes, and many judges and legal officials were prosecuted.
  • The postwar legal systems in Germany, both East and West, explicitly rejected this principle, reinforcing judicial independence as a safeguard against totalitarianism.

The corrupting influence of a "No law but what I say it is" despotic leadership poses a very real direct threat influencing to those just trying to balance self-preservation with public service. When "Doing the Right Thing" is going to lead to retribution and suffering, it's easier for the choice to be resignation in the hopes of getting away without becoming a target.

I always sorta thought of the adage "Absolute Power Corrupts Absolutely" as something that referred to those -with- the power. It's not. It corrupts the weak who can't escape it as well because they're basically left with the choice of finding a way to make themselves useful to The Corruption, or risk losing everything.

I suppose this unfortunate evolution of our government was inevitable. It's not like the constitution can counteract the corruption... it's not gonna jump out of its protective framing and make violent threats against corrupted civil servants and their loved ones. Would that it could.

Back in 2011 the golf world mourned the sudden and unexpected death of one of its best players of all times, Kim Jong-Il.

Unforgotten are his masterpieces of 11 holes-in-one in a single round in 194, or his 38-under par 34 over 18 holes at a golf course at first try. (Golf world mourns Kim Jong-il)

But now there is a new contender for taking that crown as king of gold players from Kim Jong-Il - Donald J. Trump!

As the 78 year young amateur wrote: "I just won the Golf Club Championship, probably my last, at Trump International Golf Club, in Palm Beach County, Florida. Such a great honor! The Awards dinner is tonight, at the Club. I want to thank the wonderful Golf Staff, and all of the many fantastic golfers, that participated in the [event]. Such fun!"

It's also not the first gold tournament Trump won at his own club, either.

Minnesota state Sen. Justin Eichorn was arrested Monday in Bloomington for allegedly soliciting a minor for prostitution.

Bloomington police said Eichorn was arrested near the 8300 block of Normandale Avenue at around 6 p.m. Eichorn, R-Grand Rapids, was booked into the Bloomington city jail and remains in custody.

In a statement, the Bloomington Police Department said a detective had communicated with Eichorn “who thought he was talking to a 16-year-old female” and then arranged a meetup on Monday. He was arrested without incident outside of his vehicle by uniformed officers, Bloomington police said.

Who is Minnesota state Sen. Justin Eichorn? Why, the same shithole behind this bill:
