Als, online suggests Gianni Infantino is 5' 11", and he looks to be the same height as Trump in the photo.

What a bunch of sad lying manlets, I bet they have tiny dicks from their manlet status, not like grorious 6 foot tall real men. Sorry, I don't make the rules. /s, I don't really care

It's an old joke about why men who 5'10" or so are so much shorter than women who are around that height. ....because one of those groups is lying!

And I got nothing but love for the short kings who own it. ....but liars deserve ridicule. So much of Trump's self image is built around him being a BIG MAN in all ways that he just isn't.

As a fun fact, I've noticed a bit of an inverse relationship between how tall many guys I know on SL versus what they told me they are in RL. A few of the guys with VERY TALL avatars have admitted to me they are under 6' in real life. ...Meanwhile hubby and a few others I know who seem very comfortable as little men in SL are actually 6' and up. NOT AT ALL saying your SL avatar needs to be reflective of who you are in RL, but there is definitely an insecurity issue at play here, not just role play. A lot of the short guys I know in RL really do NOT want to be small in games or SL at all.

Yeah, I find Trump pumping up his height amusing because as someone around 5'10-11", I can tell you just by looking at him and his surroundings in general, he is arounf 5'10-11".

Trump seems to often lean into the idea that a BIG LIE is easier to get away with than a slight exaggeration. Like... rounding up to 6' is maybe too obviously an exaggeration because that's what everyone does. So he's betting that adding a whopping and visually obvious 4-5" is better.

I think a lot of people aim for the one thing that is the opposite of their RL self that they wish they could change. Height, Weight, Skin Tone, Hair, eye color, Muscularity/Voluptuousness, Age... For me it's hair (full bodied and green in SL, fly away superfine and impossible to do anything with in RL) and body type (super thin in SL not so in RL)

The stuff in Venezuela was a war?

Is Trump aware that all the other...wars listed are over, done, while the Iran (military conflict...) is not?

I wonder why he didn't list the 72 wars he's ended... :hellokitty:

From Tina Brown's substack (Evernote link because paywall)

At yesterday’s Senate hearings to approve an additional $87 billion in war spending , Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, who left the military as a National Guard major, blasted the “stale thinking” of his predecessor General Lloyd Austin, the only defense secretary, btw, to have held combat commands in the U.S. wars in Afghanistan and Iraq at the one, two, three, and four star levels. “I don’t know what Lloyd Austin did for four years,” fulminated Hegseth. Maybe that’s because restraint and absence of braggadocio were Austin’s defining traits.
In Bob Woodward’s 2024 book War, he describes how then-Defense Secretary Austin shut down Russia without firing a single missile, after U.S. intelligence discovered Moscow was seriously considering using a tactical nuclear weapon in Ukraine. “If you did this,” Austin told Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoygu, “all the restraints that we have been operating under in Ukraine would be reconsidered.” Shoygu replied, “I don’t take kindly to being threatened,” to which Austin responded, “Mr. Minister, I am the leader of the most powerful military in the history of the world. I don’t make threats.”

His powers of intimidation were not the kind that required testosterone shots.

I really don't get Kegsbreath's decision about the testosterone shots. So, gender affirming care is bad, but artificially boosting guys' testosterone on the taxpayer's dime is good? And what does he hope to accomplish with that, anyways? In my time in the Navy, I saw enough examples of toxic masculinity that I doubt low testosterone was ever an issue.

From what I've read, endocrinologists can't make much sense of it, either.

Reuters: Doctors question evidence behind Pentagon plan for testosterone screening

Neither can at least one federal judge: Judge orders Hegseth to explain US military’s new testosterone policy

And, as I think the article to which I linked remarked (or I may have seen the example elsewhere - can't remember) the Ukrainian drone operator, currently wreaking havoc and demonstrating extreme lethality among the Russian invaders, may be trans neko catgirl with cute drawn-on whiskers sitting in a camouflaged trailer 200 km from their target for all anyone knows.

However, I think the point of the policy isn't to improve operational efficiency or anything like that. It's a theatrical move intended to appeal to the same audience who consume adverts for all manner of supplements and magic potions advertised on right-wing cable TV, podcasts and social media, which presumably includes not only the core MAGA vote but Hegseth and his Commander in Chief.

Boeing’s Air Force One program caused the defense company to lose $280 million in the second quarter of 2026, according to earnings the contractor released Tuesday.

The contractor has faced setbacks in delivering two Air Force One aircraft for presidential use by its initial projected timeline due to a lack of properly cleared workers and supply chain issues, causing President Donald Trump to use a Qatari-donated jet in the interim.
Trump's second presidency has been such a boom to American companies.

I am extremely angry on behalf of my friends who are immunocompromised. The decision to spread plague is not just a personal choice like so many seem to think it is.
And, for the zillionth time, I cannot believe anyone who had actually caught measles as a child and knew it's actually like, even when it doesn't require hospitalisation, would willingly put their own children at risk of going through the same miserable experience.

There's definitely an element of cultish behavior in the anti-vax and other modern skepticism movements, where our normal predispositions can be subverted by those beliefs.

Unless it's that more recent parents grew up without the risk of measles, because of widespread vaccination. Measles seemed until recently no longer a problem, so why bother with vaccinating your child against it?

It's both. There is a growing contingent of vehement anti-vaxxers, impervious to science data, whose rhetoric has normalized not getting vaccines. This results in more people who think -- without being idealogues per se -- that not getting vaccines is the default "safe" position since they don't perceive these diseases as a threat. When choosing between "do nothing" and "do this thing that has a lot of people upset because they claim it endangers children", then it seems more prudent to do nothing.

Until their kid gets really sick and/or dies. Then they go "Oh."
