Not to be outdone, in came Jack Posobiec, one of the right’s weirdest hangers-on, who is perhaps most famous for the time he spread the “Pizzagate” theory and then got removed from the pizzeria in question by police for filming a child’s birthday party. Running with the major theme of the hour — that Antifa is definitely, certainly, really real despite all evidence to the contrary, and that everybody needs to stop saying it’s not real — Posobiec made a startling claim: Antifa is so clearly real that it “has been going on for almost 100 years ... going back to the Weimar Republic in Germany.”

And look, yes, it is absolutely true that there were anti-fascist protesters in the Weimar Republic. If you’ll remember, those were the people taking issue with the early versions of the Nazis. But it’s sort of difficult to position yourself as the good guys if you’re aligning yourself with the Nazis in your historical analogy. I’m just saying that, if I was Posobiec’s publicity guy, I might ask him to drop that soundbite from future public appearances.

A new Qatari air force facility will be built in Idaho, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth announced on Friday.

“Today we’re signing a letter of acceptance to build a Qatar Emiri air force facility at the Mountain Home Airbase in Idaho,” Hegseth told reporters. “It’s just another example of our partnership.”

Hegseth said that the facility would host a contingent of Qatari F-15s and pilots.

Nothing says America First like a Qatarti air base in Idaho.

It's Mountain Home AFB, not far outside Boise and right on Interstate 84. It is already built and has been built since WWII.

That base is already hosting Singaporean fighter pilots -- we do train other countries' pilots, so long as they're, you know, on our side. It helps us sell them the planes.

But nobody calls it a Singaporean Air Base and nobody built a Special Facility (whatever the hell that is) for them.

JFC. What next? How 'bout we just invite the Russian Navy on board our nuclear missile subs? Maybe we could train some North Koreans in how to operate an AWACS plane? Or, just US Army Ranger School for Myanmar's army.

Sean Duffy said he would "let go" air traffic controllers not coming to work during the government shutdown.

US Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy threatened to fire air traffic controllers who are calling in sick while working without pay during the government shutdown.

In an interview with Fox Business News on Thursday, Duffy called the absent employees "problem children" and said they are accounting for more than half the country's flight delays as the shutdown continues with no signs of lawmakers coming to a deal.

He praised controllers who are still showing up to work and said only about 10% are "lashing out" by not coming to work while the government goes unfunded and is unable to pay them.

"When you come to work you get paid," Duffy said. "If you don't come to work, you don't get paid. That's the way we're going to do it."

And that's the point. During a government shutdown even when they come to work, THEY DON'T GET PAID. What a contemptuous moron.
