Some people must vote for the government, otherwise the government wouldn't be in power. Netanyahu is a right-wing crook, interested only in holding onto power to avoid a criminal indictment, leading a coalition of religious nationalists and fascists. It's not surprising he has the enthusiastic support of the Israeli version of MAGA.Maybe it's not just the government.

Are you actually explaining representative democracy to me?Some people must vote for the government, otherwise the government wouldn't be in power.
I didn't see the point you were trying to make -- obviously there's a sizeable constituency in Israel that supports the present government, otherwise they wouldn't be in power (though, for what it's worth, the policy of annexing Gaza is supported by some of the minority parties in Netanyahu's coalition, not by Netanyahu himself or by Likud, or at least not publicly). Are you actually explaining representative democracy to me?
I didn't see myself making a point. I posted a screenshot of a twitter post, in which an Israeli woman is seen expounding rhetoric I find difficult to call anything but eliminationist.I didn't see the point you were trying to make
Well what is today Gaza strip was before 2005 an area which also contained lots of Jewish settlements. Israel back then pulled out all Jews completely and handed it over to the Palestines.Maybe it's not just the government.

Sat down with Piers Morgan for the third time . This time I wasn’t interested in zingers or sensational clips . I wanted to calmly debunk and refute the Israeli propaganda about the mass rape hoax , exposing the Hannibal Directive and showing the perpetual lies about the partition and the stupid claims about Palestinians walking away from many peace opportunities.
Haaretz’s publisher, Amos Schocken, opened the event by saying the Israeli government was so disastrous and had so distorted Zionism that the only recourse lay in the international community applying sanctions, just as it had done to change apartheid South Africa.
Mick Davis, a former Conservative party chief executive and former leader of the Jewish Leadership Council, said: “When people like me want to speak about peaceful settlement with the Palestinians, fairness in society, I’m looked upon as if I’m a complete idiot or I’m speaking stuff which is inappropriate to be speaking.
“Israel’s existential threat is entirely internal and not external,” he added. “The issue is not 7 October,” he said, but “the relationship to the Palestinian people” and the fact that the “occupation is corrosive in every sense in Israeli society”.
I think the main point is East Jerusalem though.Honestly, if they actually wanted a Palestinian state they would have cut off the top X% of the country and created Palestine as a buffer between them and Lebanon, back when the initial partition was done. The West Bank was a completely ass idea.
Yeah, I saw that article and gagged a bit. I still think they need to just use some of their recent high profile target eliminations, like Sinwar, to declare victory and get this over with.Israel's war seems to be going well for Israel so far. So good in fact that a writer of Jerusalem Post becomes greedy and now is writing this:
"Southern Lebanon is actually northern Israel - opinion
Historically speaking, southern Lebanon is in fact northern Israel, and the roots of the Jewish people in the area run deep."
Need proof? "Indeed, back in biblical times, southern Lebanon was clearly part of the Land of Israel. In the Book of Genesis (10:19) it says, “and the borders of Canaan reached from Sidon toward Gerar as far as Gaza, and then toward Sodom, Gomorrah, Admah, and Tsevoyim as far as Lasha.” Sidon, a city in Lebanon, is about halfway between the current Israeli border and Beirut."
and
"Further evidence of the Jewish link to the area can be found in the various holy sites and tombs of the righteous in southern Lebanon. "
Note: The writer served as deputy communications director under Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

These gangsters act, humanitarian officials and Palestinian transporters allege, with the tacit permission of the Israeli military: what a UN memo seen by the Financial Times called “the passive, if not active benevolence” of the Israel Defense Forces.
Led by escaped convicts and formed along family lines, the heavily-armed gangs defy Gazan authorities and operate freely along the border, a restricted Israeli military zone.
They stockpile the looted goods in open-air headquarters — seemingly overlooked by Israeli surveillance drones — and resell the supplies via middlemen to destitute Palestinians at prohibitive prices.
