Yeah, especially the top one. I stared too long at it trying to figure out if it was actually SL or some sort of cosplay.I like it... but the graphics they are portraying are nothing like those in SL...![]()
Who rattled your cage? Jesus christ. The McDonalds burgers in the ads don't really look like that what you get served in their "restaurants" either.
It is called advertisement.
/me waves to everybody.
Sounds like YOU are the one who got out of bed on the wrong side today.Who rattled your cage? Jesus christ.
That is an excellent question.Who rattled your cage? Jesus christ.

I mean, SL can look really nice, but there is always some subtle clipping somewhere. ALWAYS. Which is the most unrealistic part of all this.
I wonder if it would even be possible to add some sort of collision detection that stopped clipping and maybe did some mild deformation or just stopped the movements.
Agree. They can post this picture instead. This is what Second Life looks like.Yeah that first image, geeze. Sure, the skin tone, lighting and maybe even the metallic bits could be rendered/photoshopped into it... but the hair (fake as it is) & mouth scream 'photo source material'.
I guess that solves that question.
Hm... so where are they using the other images they photographed, I wonder?I guess that solves that question.
And I kind of hate the answer.
Thanks.
They sure spent a lot of money making SL look like something it's not.
Second Life, The Motion Picture.
I was both impressed and disappointed
I have to wonder just how much money they spent on that, compared to, say, hiring one decent designer who specialized in videogame screenshots, who could take actual SL screenshots that looked fun, dynamic and interesting. There's people who do that for a living. They sure spent a lot of money making SL look like something it's not.
Modders (not game devs) have added such features to Skyrim ... the question isn't if it could be done but how much needs to be coded for an implementation and wether LL wants or can afford to do the development.I wonder if it would even be possible to add some sort of collision detection that stopped clipping and maybe did some mild deformation or just stopped the movements.
I feel like ocasionally it owuld look finny, but I would kind of rather have some occasional funny bends with actual body collision I think. Basically, it's a price I'd be willing to pay.Modders (not game devs) have added such features to Skyrim ... the question isn't if it could be done but how much needs to be coded for an implementation and wether LL wants or can afford to do the development.
